“General Yue is indeed ruthless, but how can you be certain I’ll cooperate?”

The Yunwen secret agent, having overheard the conversation, spoke up, his voice raspy and mocking. He let out a cold laugh, drawing his short sword to commit suicide. Yue Qianfeng suddenly said, “If you can defeat this child, I’ll let you go today.”

The secret agent had witnessed Yue Qianfeng’s killing firsthand and knew where he was hiding. Being mortal enemies, Yue Qianfeng’s words were clearly unbelievable, even to a child.

However, upon hearing this, the secret agent paused. His gaze fell upon the child holding the knife. Incredibly, as an enemy, he slowly lowered his suicide-intended short sword. After a long silence, he said, “…General Yue is Marshal Yue’s deputy.”

“Marshal Yue’s word is his bond; I believe you.”

He managed to stand, pressing several points on his body to stop the bleeding. The intense pain made him sweat profusely. Yet, the glimmer of survival before death kept him mentally taut. With his focus heightened, his internal energy surged, and he gradually felt no pain. His eyes, like those of a leopard, fixed on the boy, and he drew a long, narrow saber, holding his short sword in his left hand:

    “Boy, come.”

Li Guanyi gripped his knife, his heart pounding. Yue Qianfeng smiled, patting Li Guanyi’s shoulder. A surge of intense energy flowed into Li Guanyi’s body, and Yue Qianfeng’s voice echoed in his mind.

“Advance, raise the knife, flick the clouds, cleave the mountain.”

The internal heat flowed through Li Guanyi’s muscles and meridians, stimulating his bodily reflexes. Li Guanyi instinctively advanced, his long blade rising from below, casting a chilling gleam in the moonlight like a crescent moon, deflecting the Yunwen secret agent’s long knife.

The agent’s strength far surpassed Li Guanyi’s, but he was mortally wounded. Secondly, the surge of energy within Li Guanyi greatly enhanced his muscle’s explosive power.

He managed to parry the agent’s weapon, achieving a stalemate. Then, the energy flow in Li Guanyi’s palm changed direction, causing his hands to rotate, transforming a diagonal strike into a heavy downward chop, following the arc of his initial upward slash. The blow was heavy and forceful, knocking aside the agent’s short sword and tearing a gaping wound in his clothing, sending blood spraying.

The Yunwen agent let out a muffled roar and lunged again. But his body, pierced by a Tianji crossbow bolt—a weapon only worn by the leader of the Ye Chi cavalry—had shattered meridians, significantly reducing his speed and strength. Li Guanyi, his internal energy flowing, moved forward, executing his swordsmanship, each move sharp and domineering. The energy flow, though not entirely dissipated, left behind faint traces within his meridians and muscles.

This sword technique primarily focused on chopping and cleaving, with sweeping, slicing, and stabbing as supplementary moves.

“Hold the knife horizontally, sweep the clouds.”
“Grip the knife with both hands, cleave the waves.”

Yue Qianfeng’s voice was calm and measured. As the energy flow swept through Li Guanyi’s arms, it mobilized his body and vital energy. The boy felt a river of energy surging within him, guiding his long, dark blade through the rain-soaked night, stirring up blood-red splashes.

The agent’s eyes suddenly gleamed. Discarding his short sword, he thrust his long saber forward, a wave of killing intent washing over Li Guanyi’s face. In that instant, a cold sensation enveloped Li Guanyi’s body, his mind going blank. Then, Yue Qianfeng’s roar echoed in his ears:

    “Open your eyes!”
    “See this killing intent!”

Li Guanyi’s eyes widened, observing the dissipating rain mist, the masked man’s bulging eyes and bloodshot pupils, hearing the roar, and even smelling the blood, the earthy scent of the rain, and the foul odor emanating from the man’s mouth.

He faced the killing intent directly.

Simultaneously, the energy flow shifted. Li Guanyi crouched, his legs in a staggered stance, his long knife withdrawn to his waist. He used his footwork to evade the fatal strike, his body tense like a drawn crossbow. As the agent’s attack faltered, Li Guanyi sprang forward, thrusting his knife.

Yue Qianfeng’s voice exploded in his mind:

    “Pierce the King!”

The long, dark blade was sharp, a masterpiece of Chen Kingdom’s craftsmanship, capable of cleaving through armor and flesh during a fast horse charge. In that moment, the knife pierced the armor, penetrating the agent’s abdomen. Green bile and blood flowed down the blade’s grooves.

Li Guanyi, propelled by the energy flow, moved swiftly, avoiding the agent’s embrace, gripping the hilt, and with a powerful twist, unleashed a sweeping blow. This energy burst was incredibly intense, nearly mobilizing all his muscles and meridians. The long blade cut through flesh, stained crimson and green, reappearing under the night sky.

Yue Qianfeng’s roar revealed the name of the technique:

    “Execute the Emperor!”

The agent knew he hadn’t lost to this boy; behind the child, who was on his first day of martial arts training, stood a legendary general who had fought on the battlefield for over a decade. Desperate, he roared, unleashing his remaining internal energy in a powerful punch aimed at Li Guanyi’s face.

But Li Guanyi quickly retreated. His return strike was too late, so he used the knife’s hilt, like a spear, to jab at the agent’s wrist.

    “Push the Mountain!”

He then retreated, his blade resting on the ground. The energy within him surged; Yue Qianfeng’s domineering internal energy flowed rapidly, activating his meridians and muscles. A sudden burst of cold light erupted as his blade, like frost and snow, arced upward from below, using a pushing and piercing force to create distance.

He spun, raising his long knife. Using this spinning momentum, like a crescent moon, he abandoned defense and footwork. His right foot stepped forward, using a fist-based footwork technique, his body lunging forward as if weightless, all his force concentrated on the blade as he delivered a powerful downward chop.

“Finishing move, Cleave the Sky Wolf!”

This brilliant flash of light cleaved through the agent’s flesh, becoming the last light in his eyes, and it also cut through the ten years of gloom in Li Guanyi’s heart.

    Clang!

The blade embedded itself in the rain-soaked earth, the force of the blow immense. Li Guanyi gasped for breath in the rain, slowly releasing his grip. Yue Qianfeng’s internal energy had dissipated, but the memory of the sword technique remained in his muscle memory, as if he had practiced it for a long time.

In his meridians, the energy flow now circulated smoothly.

Li Guanyi’s strength recovered at an astonishing rate, even surpassing his condition before dragging the corpse. He lowered his head, grasping his right hand, feeling the energy flow, then looked at the scarred Chen Kingdom secret agent—his enemy, the source of his nightmares for ten years.

He felt a moment of daze, a sense of groundedness he had never felt before. Even with his stoic nature, he felt an overwhelming urge to cry out.

    “Not bad,”

Suddenly, a large hand rested on Li Guanyi’s head, stroking his hair. Yue Qianfeng bent down, his arm extending like an ape’s. He picked up the fallen agent, grinned, and thrust the agent’s head onto the blade still stuck in the ground.

    A sharp clang.

The blade’s back, though long and narrow, severed the agent’s neck.

    With a casual toss.

A head, a fountain of blood.

The air filled with the stench of blood and killing intent!

The large man ruffled the boy’s hair, grinning, and said:

    “Kid.”

    “Welcome to this chaotic world!”
