Chapter 32: Eight Gates Formation (Seeking Continued Reading)

[Disciple Might Guy’s Assigned Training Task]
[Training Task: Obtain a training plan that can enhance strength]
    [Reward: Determined by task completion]

Mūtsuki felt a little awkward looking at the training task Might Guy had received.

He thought the task would be to defeat Kakashi, but it turned out to be a training plan.

Could this even be called a “training task”?

Mūtsuki seriously considered the cause and effect of the training task being triggered, and came up with some guesses.

The disciple’s thoughts determined the content of the training task. Obito felt that he couldn’t win first place in the young ninja tournament with his current abilities, so he had the task of winning first place.

Obito learned about the tournament’s resumption only two weeks before it began.

With such a short time frame, Obito believed that he could only win first place with Mūtsuki’s help.

Although Might Guy wanted to defeat Kakashi, he wasn’t in a hurry and didn’t think he necessarily needed Mūtsuki’s help to do so.

He might even be too embarrassed to trouble Mūtsuki too much, considering they had only known each other for a month and that Guy was purely a beneficiary.

The combination of these factors led to Might Guy’s rather unusual training task.

“Teacher, I’ll trouble you with the training plan,” Might Guy thanked him.

“It’s not a trouble at all. I’m overjoyed to see you so eager to become stronger,” Mūtsuki said, patting Might Guy’s head.

“Because for me, a stronger disciple is the best reward for a teacher.” Mūtsuki’s expression was sincere.

This wasn’t acting; it was genuinely what Mūtsuki felt.

Hearing these words again, Might Guy felt something different.

Perhaps he should rely on Mūtsuki more.

The two went to the training grounds.

Obito had almost finished his tree-climbing training and would next practice water walking.

Might Guy was still training his physique, repeatedly performing various exercises.

Shisui was practicing genjutsu with Mūtsuki’s shadow clone.

Mūtsuki’s main body was completing Might Guy’s training task—creating a new training plan for him.

This wasn’t something hastily scribbled down; it involved a lot of consideration.

It wasn’t about simply increasing the training volume to get stronger; the body’s capacity had to be taken into account.

After dusk, the three completed the training Mūtsuki had arranged, and Mūtsuki finished Might Guy’s new training plan.

Mūtsuki called Might Guy aside and handed him the plan.

[Training task completed, reward received: Training Elixirs x20, Chakra +150]
[Training Elixir: Effectively relieves physical fatigue, restores the body and eliminates hidden injuries]

The task was immediately concluded, and the reward was better than Mūtsuki expected.

After all, the task was incredibly easy; Mūtsuki thought that gaining some chakra would be a win.

But he also received twenty training elixirs—a pleasant surprise.

This made him even more eager to see what rewards Obito would receive upon completing his task.

After all, in terms of difficulty, Obito’s training task was far more challenging than Might Guy’s.

Mūtsuki’s mind moved, and pretending to search his ninja pouch, he took a training elixir from his system inventory and gave it to Might Guy.

“Here, eat this,” Mūtsuki smiled gently.

Might Guy was probably the one among his three disciples who needed this the most; his training intensity was extremely high.

“Thank you, teacher. What is this?” Might Guy took the elixir, puzzled.

“Something good for you. Eat it quickly,” Mūtsuki explained.

Trusting Mūtsuki, Might Guy immediately consumed the elixir.

The moment he swallowed it, Might Guy felt a warmth spread through his body, a comforting sensation flowing through his limbs, washing away his fatigue, and instantly revitalizing him.

“This must be a very expensive elixir, right?” Might Guy guessed. The pill Mūtsuki gave him was simply too miraculous; after consuming it, he felt much lighter.

So-called elixirs are medicines with special functions, usually made using special methods and specific materials.

A relatively common and inexpensive elixir is the revitalizing pill that restores a certain amount of chakra.

The more special and powerful the effect of the elixir, the more expensive it is. Might Guy felt that the elixir he had just consumed was certainly not cheap.

“You’ve already eaten it, so don’t think too much about it,” Mūtsuki didn’t answer.

He didn’t know the price of the medicine either; it was given by the system. Whether Konoha even sold it was another matter. And since the question had been asked, he already had a vague answer in his heart.

[You gifted your disciple a Training Elixir. Due to the disciple’s immense gratitude, a massive reward boost has been triggered, rewarding you with Eight Gates Formation (First Three Gates)]

Many memories of training in the Eight Gates Formation instantly flooded Mūtsuki’s mind; he could feel himself overcoming a certain limitation within his body.

Although he could only open the first three gates, Mūtsuki was still satisfied. With the techniques memorized, he could open more gates with continued training.

However, Mūtsuki wouldn’t continue training the Eight Gates; he could gain more by spending his time elsewhere.

Might Guy only had average ninjutsu talent, but his taijutsu talent was quite strong. Having trained for decades and opened the Death Gate, Might Guy was able to severely injure Juubi Madara, while Might Dai hadn’t even killed all the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.

Opening only three gates was perfect for him, as the first three gates had the least impact on the body. Beyond the third gate, the physical requirements became extremely demanding.

“Teacher, I will definitely become the strongest!” Might Guy, deeply moved, said with tears streaming down his face.

To ensure he ate the expensive elixir without burden, Mūtsuki was unwilling to tell him what it was.

If Might Guy hadn’t noticed himself, Mūtsuki might have told him it was candy.

Mūtsuki handed a handkerchief to the tearful Might Guy and said with a gentle smile:

“You will become the strongest. I believe it.”

Even without his help, Might Guy would reach the peak of taijutsu through his own efforts.

Mūtsuki believed that in this world, Might Guy would go even further.

“His trust level must have increased significantly. I wonder when I’ll get a level four trust disciple,” Mūtsuki thought as he watched Might Guy’s departing figure.

Today, Mūtsuki didn’t go to the main city to coincidentally meet Minato and Kushina, but chose to stay in the Southern Border Forest.

Having been in this world for over a month, while he had the idea of easily developing the Rasengan, he hadn’t had the time.

Recently, he had been reading many books about sealing techniques and cursed seals, which required time to absorb. He wanted to take this opportunity to develop the Rasengan.

With the detailed process from the original work, and his mastery of shape transformation, developing the Rasengan wouldn’t be difficult.

The main purpose of developing the Rasengan wasn’t to use it against enemies, but for other reasons.
