“Alien Creature? National Secret Organization?”

“Young man, do you know what you’re talking about?” Professor Wang and Professor Xie chimed in, their faces full of doubt.

The professors were thinking, “We came here for an academic exchange, but instead, it turned into a science fiction novel exchange.” They wanted to ask Xue An if he was joking.

What with alien creatures invading Earth, and the nation establishing a secret organization to counter them? If not for the deep impression left by Zhushi Jiu yesterday, they would have absolutely walked out after hearing such absurdity.

The professors’ rational minds refused to believe such a ridiculous reality. “Where’s Zhu Ge? Let him come out and explain,” they urged.

But Xue An knew that was impossible, as Zhu Ge was being monitored by the Black Troop. He managed to send a letter to Professor Xie’s hand under the surveillance of the Black Troop, which was already an incredible feat.

Xue An’s eyes widened in admiration as he recalled Zhushi Jiu’s ability to decipher the Black Troop’s password. Now, Zhushi Jiu was sending talents to their doorstep, hiding under the eyes of the Black Troop Organization – it was truly beyond his imagination.

“He won’t appear,” Xue An said, pulling out a tablet computer from his bag and displaying it in front of Professor Wang and Professor Xie.

“If you don’t believe in the existence of alien creatures, then please take a look at this video.”

The video showed footage of an alien creature rampage in a foreign country, leaving behind a trail of black shadows and human screams. The professors’ eyes widened in horror.

“Not bad special effects,” Professor Wang said, his voice dry.

Professor Xie’s face turned pale. “From a biological structure perspective, is it really possible for creatures to defy gravity and move like bullets, stopping and reversing in an instant?”

Xue An let out a sigh. “This is not an Earthly creature. It’s an alien. Don’t think about it with an Earthly mindset.”

The video was too brutal, so Xue An turned it off. The video couldn’t serve as direct evidence, as special effects had become so advanced in this era that it was hard to distinguish reality from fiction.

The video Xue An showed them was a real recording of an alien creature attacking humans in a foreign country, taken by a high-altitude drone. The alien creature showed no interest in the drone, so they were able to record multiple instances of this.

Xue An didn’t tell the professors where the alien creature came from, fearing they would be too scared to join.

“If you don’t believe me, I have a simpler way to prove it.”

Xue An pulled out a gun from his waist and slapped it onto the table.

The professors were shocked, their eyes fixed on the gun.

“If you don’t believe me, you can try shooting me,” Xue An said, his tone matter-of-fact.

The professors didn’t move to take the gun. They felt like they were in a dream.

The video, Xue An’s confidence in dodging bullets, and the genius Zhu Ge’s invitation had all contributed to their gradual acceptance of this absurd reality.

Xue An knew they were wavering and needed a more direct and violent demonstration. If he still had the anti-Black Troop suppressant from yesterday, he would show them its effects. But unfortunately, he didn’t have any on hand.

So he had chosen to give the gun to Professor Wang and Professor Xie, letting them shoot him. This would give them a sense of safety and make them believe he could dodge bullets, thereby shattering their psychological defenses.

In reality, Xue An saying he could dodge bullets was a bit stretching it, as there was still a risk of failure.

However, would Professor Wang and Professor Xie, who had spent their entire lives writing, now pick up a gun and shoot someone? They weren’t crazy.

Xue An calmly put the gun away.

“Since you’re not willing to shoot, how can I make you believe me?”

Professor Xie hastily shook his head. “No need for such radical methods.”

“There’s a simpler question you can answer,” Professor Xie continued.

“What?”

“If there really are alien creatures threatening the nation, why didn’t we, as national academicians, know about it?”

Professor Xie’s question was crucial.

The Black Troop Organization was a national organization, backed by not just the nation, but also the shadows of countries worldwide.

It was precisely because of the Black Troop Organization’s global backing that unqualified research talents couldn’t be selected.

Xue An couldn’t tell the professors the truth, as it would be too cruel.

Instead, he said, “You’re physicists, so you should know about the rise of quantum mechanics in recent years.”

How did this relate to the current topic?

Professor Wang furrowed his brow. “I know, but I don’t understand why quantum mechanics is rising without any theoretical basis. It’s incredible.”

“That’s because the rise of quantum mechanics is related to the influence of alien creatures. Specifically, some physicists have given up their traditional views and are now researching quantum mechanics under the direction of the nation’s secret projects.”

Professor Wang naturally thought of the scene from last night’s physics circle, where he felt out of place.

He also thought of his friend who had suddenly given up on their research project to study quantum mechanics.

This matched what Xue An was saying now.

Before he could open his mouth, Professor Xie chimed in.

“Is the research on high-energy nutrients in our biology field also like this? It’s suddenly become popular without any papers to back it up.”

Xue An nodded. “Yes. In reality, many soldiers in the nation have already started using these nutrients. They’ve become human elites who have pushed their physical limits, with the nutrients and drugs that stimulate human growth and unlock brain potential…”

“So, you’re saying we’re dealing with ‘super soldiers’ like them?”

Super soldiers… this phrase was quite subtle.

Because compared to the Black Troop, they weren’t “super” at all, and Xue An’s identity wasn’t that of a “soldier” either.

However, the professors seemed to trust the military more.

To gain their trust, it was better to say he was a soldier than a secret agent.

Xue An pulled out an officer’s certificate from his bag and slapped it onto the table.

“This is my military ID, please take a look, professors.”

Professor Wang and Professor Xie eagerly took the certificate and examined it meticulously.

However, they didn’t really know what to look for in a military ID, and were just doing it for show.

Only Xue An knew that this certificate was both real and fake.

The issuing authority, date, number, anti-counterfeit marks, position, and military rank were all genuine, but there was no “Xue Ning” in the military.

Xue An had a stack of such certificates, which were used by their organization to recruit talents. They could produce whatever certificate the other party wanted to see, as long as they searched for it.

Xue An looked at the two professors, who were now hesitating. He sat up straight and said seriously, “Professors, the nation needs your power!”

Professor Wang and Professor Xie exchanged a glance.

“Does this mean Zhu Ge is also…”

Xue An stuttered for a moment before lying, “Yes, he’s also one of our members.”
