**Interrogation Room**
Du Fei woke up, her senses still hazy. She heard a low, mature male voice, which, despite its elegance, sent chills down her spine.
She couldn’t see anything, only sensing that her eyes were covered with a blindfold, and her hands and feet were bound to the chair. The cold, damp air around her made her shiver, and the faint scent of something strange lingered in her nose. It was like something out of a kidnapping movie.
Du Fei trembled with fear, her voice shaking as she spoke. “I don’t know anything! Honestly, I’ll answer whatever you ask, but I really don’t know anything!”
“Remove her gag.”
Someone moved, and Du Fei felt the gag being removed from her mouth. Finally, she could speak.
“What organization is behind Zhushi Jiu?” the man asked.
“I don’t know him… I only met him today!” Du Fei responded, betraying Zhushi Jiu without hesitation.
The man didn’t react to her fear. “Who are you?”
“I’m Du Fei, 24 years old, a coach,” she replied.
“What organization is behind you?” he pressed on.
“What organization?” Du Fei stammered, momentarily forgetting about the “Executive Chess Society” that Zhushi Jiu had invited her to join. According to Zhushi Jiu, the Executive Chess Society aimed to save the world, opposing the evil organizations that sought to destroy it.
She hesitated, unsure of what to say.
“You’re playing dumb?” The man’s voice sent a chill down her spine.
Du Fei shuddered, trying to compose herself. “What organization? I really don’t know… Ahhh…”
A strong electric current coursed through her body, causing her unbearable pain.
When the current stopped, she felt like she was on the verge of death, having revealed everything. “I was wrong, I was wrong… I know! The organization behind him is the Executive Chess Society! It’s an organization that aims to save the world!”
The man’s expression remained unchanged. “What did he tell you after finding you?”
“He tempted me with money, telling me to join the Executive Chess Society. I thought it was just a normal archery enthusiast group…”
“Why did you listen to his orders and attack us?”
Du Fei felt despair washing over her.
The man’s brow furrowed. “Your meaning is, he knew our plans beforehand?”
Du Fei’s eyes widened in horror.
Later, when the interrogation was over, the man brought the information back to Zhushi Jiu.
…
In the interrogation room, Zhushi Jiu sat calmly, a bright smile on his face. “So, let’s begin… Remove his gag.”
When the object was removed from his mouth, Zhushi Jiu moved his sour jaws and smiled confidently. “What time is it? How long was I unconscious?”
The man observed Zhushi Jiu’s demeanor, his eyes narrowing. “You seem to have predicted your current situation.”
“Yes, I did,” Zhushi Jiu replied calmly.
“Who are you?”
“I’m Zhushi Jiu, an ordinary college student.”
The man’s gaze pierced through Zhushi Jiu. “I think you know I’m not asking about that. You’re from the Executive Chess Society, aren’t you?”
Zhushi Jiu’s smile grew wider. “That’s correct.”
The man’s expression changed, his eyes flashing with surprise. “You’re surprisingly cooperative.”
Zhushi Jiu chuckled. “I’ve experienced this before. You’re trying to crack me, but I’m not afraid.”
The man’s eyes seemed to bore into Zhushi Jiu’s soul. “You want to talk to me?”
Zhushi Jiu shook his head. “No, I want to confirm something. You want to ask me how I knew about your plans, don’t you?”
The man’s face twisted, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “You’re saying you can predict the future?”
Zhushi Jiu’s smile never wavered. “That’s correct. I saw a blue energy explosion in the sky above Jiang City, destroying everything in an instant. The radiation from the blast could wipe out humanity in half a continent at least. I’m certain that no human technology can counter such a massive destructive force.”
The man’s expression turned solemn. “You know what you’re saying?”
Zhushi Jiu’s eyes sparkled. “Tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock, you’ll launch an attack on the World Enemy.”
The man’s brow furrowed, his voice tight with suspicion. “You’re not spying on us, are you?”
Zhushi Jiu laughed. “Of course not. With your level of secrecy, it’s impossible for any organization to know about your plans a day in advance.”
The man’s face turned pale, his eyes locked onto Zhushi Jiu. “You’re lying. You’re saying you can predict the future?”
Zhushi Jiu’s smile grew wider. “It’s not a lie. I really can predict the future.”
The man’s voice dripped with venom. “So you’re saying you knew about our plans because you can predict the future?”
Zhushi Jiu’s expression remained calm. “That’s correct.”
The man’s face twisted, his anger palpable. “You constructed a lie about predicting the future, didn’t you?”
Zhushi Jiu’s smile never wavered. “No, it’s the truth. And I know you won’t reveal your face, no matter how many possibilities I predict. Because I’m always wearing a blindfold.”
The man’s body froze, his eyes fixed on Zhushi Jiu.
Zhushi Jiu’s smile never faltered. “Big brother, you’ve been checkmated since last week, and I’ve been holding the winning piece. You’re just a pawn in my game.”
