Chapter 21: I Picked Up My Head

    The hall was silent.

The temple guards all looked strange. The Necromancer had knocked out everyone with one spell, obviously not someone to be trifled with. The Temple was clearly in the wrong. The god-fearing people had finally reached a compensation agreement with the other party, and it seemed like he was going to leave. This guy, in his death throes, went to pick a fight with the other party’s skeleton, saying it wasn’t right!

    Was he crazy?

Pastor Johannes Littlejohn opened his mouth, then quickly covered it with his hands. He made a “woo-woo” sound, and his freckles twisted as if they were about to pop out.

Spearman Raymond opened his mouth wide, Shield Warrior Wally’s eyes widened, and Archer Thom’s red hair was about to catch fire.

    Wake up, Little Gretel!

This is a Necromancer! A Necromancer! What are you arguing about the skeleton with him? Everyone watched you grow up, how did you become so weird after being inspired by the Natural God?

Donald the God-fearing person lay on his back, being stepped on by the big cat, not daring to move. The big cat on him raised his head, a pair of golden pupils looked at Gretel, and then at the golden skeleton, his tail swayed, a look of great interest.

The pet was like this, the Necromancer was naturally even more interested. He took a step forward, looked up at the skull, and then bent down to look at the pelvis. He looked left and right, couldn’t figure it out, and turned to ask Gretel:

“…How do I look at it?”

    “It’s simple!”

    Gretel answered without thinking:

    “You see, this skull…”

The golden skeleton was quite tall, and Gretel had to stand on tiptoes, which was a bit difficult. The golden skeleton turned his head and “looked” at him, then suddenly raised his hand and took off his head, holding the skull up to Gretel. Two flames flickered in the empty eye sockets, staring at him ominously in the palm of the skeleton’s hand.

    Gretel: “…”

    Don’t do this, you’ll make me nervous…

He tried to calm himself down. No matter how the skeleton was able to pick up his own head, the sex of the skull wouldn’t change – as long as it didn’t change, he had something to say.

Of course, the anatomical characteristics of people in another world might be different, that was another matter.

He didn’t reach out to take it, but stepped aside and pointed to the skull, talking eloquently:

“Look at the forehead and the top. It’s arched. If it’s a woman, the forehead should be vertical and the top flat; then look at the brow ridges, they are clearly protruding, with many small holes, do you see? For women, the brow ridges are not prominent and there are basically no holes; then look at the root of the nose…”

The content of “Forensic Medicine” that he had learned and memorized during his junior year flowed out endlessly, without missing a beat.

He should have forgotten it by now.

    Forgotten after the exam.

Anyway, he studied clinical medicine, not forensic medicine. This unimportant subject was not worth taking up memory space.

But now he remembered it clearly, even which page and which line, what the picture in the textbook looked like, all vivid.

Gretel even remembered the ghost face he drew in the corner of the page.

It seems that after going through a transmigration, there are still some benefits…

He was a little happy ^_^

After transmigration, the hope of surviving smoothly increased again!

Good news always makes people feel happy. Unconsciously, Gretel curled the corner of his mouth, and the speed of his explanation to the Necromancer and the golden skeleton became faster, and his tone became more gentle. Unconsciously, he had the demeanor of a senior doctor when he taught students in medical school.

    With this acceleration, the skeleton was expressionless (it couldn’t have any expression), only the two flames in the skull changed from flickering to completely still. It seemed that he had completely given up and only regarded himself as a heartless object stand;

The Necromancer’s eyes clearly had circles of ripples. His legs swayed, looking like they were about to collapse…

“Well, the skull is finished, let’s look at the pelvis…”

Gretel reached out and poked the skeleton’s head once, then poked it again, and the skeleton finally reacted, scrambling to put his head back on. Gretel nodded in satisfaction and lowered his head to observe the pelvis:

“This is the hip bone. The pubic symphysis is so wide and flat, the angle must be greater than 90 degrees, it’s definitely a woman. Tsk, turn it around and look at the back, there are still signs, this woman has given birth!”

He lowered his head, the Necromancer lowered his head with him, he bent over, the Necromancer bent over with him. After bending over, he twisted his neck and looked up, the Necromancer…

The Necromancer stood up straight, raised his left hand, and snapped his fingers with a “pop.”

With a clatter, the golden skeleton that had been standing upright just now collapsed completely in front of Gretel.

    Gretel jumped back!

What the hell, how can this thing collapse? No power? Magic dissipated? But on second thought, these bones have no joints, no ligaments, no muscles, they should collapse, not stand upright…

As he thought about it, he saw those finger bones, ulna and radius, vertebrae, thoracic vertebrae, cervical vertebrae, ribs, like a slow-motion replay in an animated movie, automatically splicing together. The vertebrae stacked up piece by piece, the ribs attached back and forth, the scapula on the outside, the arms and fingers stretched out one by one…

In the end, a half-bodied headless skeleton stood upright on the ground. One hand supported the ground, the other hand fumbled for a while, found its pelvis, and swayed as it lifted it.

    Gretel: “…”

Did it think that we were too tired of bending over and looking down, so it took itself apart and raised the bones for us to see?

But the height is still not enough!

He looked at the Necromancer, the Necromancer looked at him. After looking at each other for a while, the Necromancer snapped his fingers again, the toe bones, tibia and fibula, femur of the golden skeleton began to combine one by one…

The lower half of the skeleton stood on the ground. The upper half of the headless skeleton stretched out one hand, grabbed the femoral head, pulled it hard, pulled itself up, and placed it on top. One bony hand was holding the pelvis, and the other bony hand fished around on the ground, found the skull, and lifted it up in exactly the same way…

Then, the upper half without the pelvis swayed, and fell to the side.

    It fell down.

    “Meow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow-ow!”

A loud cat call. Gretel turned his head and saw that the black cat with white boots jumped lightly from the body of the god-fearing person. The cat’s tail “slap-slap” against the ground, its four paws facing the sky, rolling on the ground…

Feed, this is too much to laugh at! You are a cat!

The Necromancer’s face was completely red. He tapped the bone staff in his hand, controlling the golden skeleton to return to its original state, then pointed forward, the stone gate at the deepest part of the hall rattled open, revealing a passage. Then, his facial muscles twitched, he forced a smile:

    “Go in and chat?”

Gretel nodded happily. The Necromancer stepped forward, the black cat swayed its tail to lead the way, and the golden skeleton clicked and clicked, following behind. After walking a few steps, the Necromancer suddenly stopped, and coldly shouted:

    “None of you can escape!”
