Chapter 95: A Word on Going Live

It’s already time to go live again.

My last book went live on August 1st, 2020, with 200,000 words and a little over 1,200 subscribers.

This book went live on June 1st, 2021, with 270,000 words and… just over 5,000 subscribers.

In short, it’s a fourfold difference.

The book’s performance wasn’t good at the start. At the end of the first month, on April 30th, there were only 707 subscribers. I was really afraid it wouldn’t even be as good as my last book.

I told my editor, Penglai, back then: I don’t have high expectations, as long as I can reach an average subscription of 500 in four months, or see the possibility of reaching 500 (this is the standard for getting a full bonus after the three-month new book period), I will write this book steadily, whether it’s a million words or two million words, I will definitely not abandon it halfway.

Penglai reassured me patiently and gave me several recommendations… In short, with the results we have today, it seems like we might reach an average subscription of 500 before four months, possibly even earlier.

Let me talk about my update plan after going live:

I will guarantee 2 chapters a day, still at 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM sharp.

As for tomorrow, I’ll release 3 chapters early in the morning, then 1 chapter at 12:00 PM, and 1 chapter at 8:00 PM.

Then, in addition to that, if the first day’s subscription reaches 400, I will update an additional chapter the next day. If it reaches 500, I will update two additional chapters, and so on.

For rewards, the current plan is one additional chapter for every 10,000 yuan accumulated. You have already donated over 400 yuan… so that’s four chapters worth of rewards. Starting from the day after tomorrow, I will try to add one more chapter a day to pay off the debt.

Later, as long as I have the ability, I will add one chapter for every 10,000 yuan donated, and I will also try my best to pay off the debt!

This story has a long, long way to go, and the world view is only a corner of the whole. Let’s walk the path together in the future!
