Xu Zhizhi pondered how to proceed.

Ning Yuehua gritted her teeth as she looked at Xu Zhizhi, feeling that the information she gained from Xu Zhizhi was more than enough. It felt like she had spent twenty million, seeming extravagant, but unexpectedly, this money turned out to be worth it.

Feng Jie and Yun Ziwei leaned their heads on their foreheads, contemplating how Xu Zhizhi’s acting was still so thrilling.

Just then, there was another knock on the door.

Yun Ziwei, upon hearing it, quickly released her head from her hands and stood up to open the door. Who told her that her seat was so close to the door?

As she opened the door, Yun Ziwei was taken aback. “Director Lin, this… at this hour…”

Although it was only nine thirty in the evening, far from the time young people usually went to bed, it still felt a bit inappropriate for the director to come looking for Xu Zhizhi alone.

Xu Zhizhi, Ning Yuehua, and Feng Jie all stood up, directing their gaze toward Lin Guo at the doorway.

Lin Guo examined the few people in the room, his eyes finally settling on Ning Yuehua. “What are you doing here?” He knew Yun Ziwei and Feng Jie were in Xu Zhizhi’s room, but wasn’t Ning Yuehua disdainful of Xu Zhizhi? How come she was in Xu Zhizhi’s room, looking a bit tear-streaked?

Xu Zhizhi opened her mouth, ready to ask Director Lin what was going on, but then recalled that she was also looking for him, so she extended her hand to invite him inside.

Feng Jie went to fetch cups and poured water for everyone.

Ning Yuehua watched Feng Jie enthusiastically serve water and thought to herself that Xu Zhizhi’s assistant seemed quite vengeful!

Yun Ziwei watched as Director Lin took a seat and then closed the door, returning to her own spot.

Suddenly, the small sofa in Xu Zhizhi’s guest area was filled with people. Xu Zhizhi looked toward Director Lin, unsure of what he wanted.

Lin Guo glanced at everyone, realizing they were all crew members, then cleared his throat and said, “So, I received a text message, a threatening one.

I received one earlier too, but this time it was different.”

“What’s different?” Xu Zhizhi asked curiously.

She suspected it concerned them, or specifically, herself.

Indeed, Lin Guo’s gaze landed on Xu Zhizhi, hesitating before saying, “The sender said that if they want them to stop, it’s fine, but I must hand you over—Xu Zhizhi.”

Everyone present momentarily felt as though they had traveled back in time. Wasn’t this something out of the last century? How could there still be incidents of handing people over for safety?

Lin Guo looked into Xu Zhizhi’s eyes and added, “I didn’t come here to hand you over. My main purpose is to remind you to stay safe. I think someone has set their sights on you.”

“It doesn’t seem like they have their sights set on me; it feels more like they want me dead,” Xu Zhizhi replied calmly.

Only moments ago, Ning Yuehua mentioned that that Ana had a complicated background in Country T, and Wang Mingsheng was petty.

Two people knowing they were in the same crew was undoubtedly simple.

If it were up to them, it wouldn’t simply be the plans of these small forces, but rather the ideas of Ana and Wang Mingsheng.

The thought was straightforward: eliminate her.

Xu Zhizhi frowned. “These people are really annoying.”

Lin Guo raised an eyebrow, surprised that Xu Zhizhi’s first reaction wasn’t to be afraid or flee, but instead to complain.

Ning Yuehua regarded Xu Zhizhi, contemplating the grudge between her and Wang Mingsheng. She felt she needed to be more intelligent.

Feng Jie and Yun Ziwei purely worried, thinking about convincing Xu Zhizhi to leave.

“Why don’t we buy tickets and leave tonight? We really can’t stay here,” Yun Ziwei suggested.

Lin Guo and Feng Jie remained silent. Ning Yuehua looked at Yun Ziwei and said, “Don’t waste your breath; I can’t leave.”

Lin Guo looked at Ning Yuehua, puzzled as to why she felt she couldn’t leave.

Ning Yuehua explained carefully to Lin Guo everything that had happened, including the truth she had learned just moments before.

Lin Guo’s expression turned cold. Good heavens, it seemed everyone—the protagonist, the antagonist, and the entire crew—were being targeted.

Did this mean they were determined not to let him shoot the film?

    It was truly outrageous.

Xu Zhizhi observed Lin Guo’s expression and said, “Since it has come to this, I won’t hide anything anymore.”

She got up to retrieve her notebook.

Then she opened the video and began watching the first one.

After watching, those who had never seen a murder scene turned pale; Ning Yuehua ran to the restroom and threw up.

Since Ning Yuehua spoke F language, after she finished throwing up, Xu Zhizhi clicked on the second video and
