Chapter 25: My Untold Secret with Malfoy

“Okay… alright, let’s… let’s start the lesson now.”

Quirrell picked up his textbook, flipped it open to the first chapter, and started reading stammeringly, without bothering to check if the young witches and wizards were even listening.

This is Defense Against the Dark Arts?

    Dude, you’re an undercover agent!

You’re even worse than Professor Binns, a ghost teaching! At least there’s no weird garlic smell in the History of Magic classroom.

Your class is this bad, aren’t you afraid Dumbledore will fire you?

Well! Judging from the movie plot, Quirrell at least finished the whole semester.

Andy suddenly felt puzzled. Why would Dumbledore hire such a person to teach at Hogwarts?

This is totally misleading the students!

Could it be just to let Harry confront Voldemort directly?

This way, it could both test Harry’s courage and ability, and probe the effect of the protective magic on Harry, whether it still has an impact on Voldemort.

However, these were just Andy’s guesses.

Or perhaps Dumbledore knew nothing about it.

But regardless of whether Dumbledore knew or not, and regardless of Dumbledore’s plan, Andy decided to protect his own interests.

Andy tore a piece of paper from his notebook and picked up a quill to write:

    Mr. Malfoy, hello.

No offense, I just overheard your conversation; you want your father to complain about Professor Quirrell.

    I agree with you.

We came to Hogwarts to learn magic. Letting a professor like Quirrell teach us is a waste of our precious time.

As a student, I will fight to the death for my right to learn.

I know your father is a Hogwarts governor, but with his strength alone, it will be difficult to influence Headmaster Dumbledore’s decision.

I think we should do something.

For example: We can unite students from the four houses and issue a joint complaint. Then, old Mr. Malfoy can raise this matter at the Board of Governors meeting, suggesting that Headmaster Dumbledore fire Quirrell and get us a better Defense Against the Dark Arts professor!

Although Dumbledore is the Headmaster of Hogwarts, Hogwarts doesn’t belong to him alone.

This school belongs to everyone in the wizarding world, and more importantly, to us students.

We should make our voices heard.

    —Ravenclaw, Andy Collins.

After writing the note, Andy took out his wand and cast a spell on it.

Spell setting: Read and Destroy! (阅后即焚)

This was a secret letter that couldn’t be seen by others.

It’s fine if Dumbledore finds out, but if Voldemort finds out, he might trouble Andy after his resurrection.

Andy hadn’t seen the plot of *Harry Potter* after the second year, and he didn’t know the exact time of Voldemort’s resurrection.

If he had the ability, Andy wouldn’t mind having a solo match with Voldemort—that would at least gain him great fame, which would be helpful for becoming the Minister of Magic in the future.

But if he didn’t have the ability… he’d naturally have to lie low, and if he couldn’t lie low in Britain, he’d go abroad to lie low.

So, let’s leave the matter of offending Voldemort to Malfoy. His family is not only pure-blood, but also very wealthy.

They should be able to withstand Voldemort’s retaliation… right?

Putting away his wand, Andy folded the paper into a paper crane, gently held it in his hand, and the paper crane flapped its wings towards Malfoy.

Malfoy was surprised when he received the paper crane. He glanced at Andy, and Andy returned the look.

The two looked at each other from afar.

Malfoy opened the paper crane with some doubt.

Initially, he didn’t take it seriously, but soon he was deeply attracted by the content. The more he read, the more excited he became, his small face flushed red.

    He’s going to do it!

Just thinking about himself uniting all the students to complain to Dumbledore, ultimately driving Professor Quirrell out of Hogwarts, and even Dumbledore’s reputation would be greatly damaged…

    How wonderful would that be?

From then on, he would gain great prestige among the students, become a prefect, the boys’ Head Boy, dominate Hogwarts, become the Minister of Magic after graduation, and control the entire wizarding world.

What Voldemort? What Dumbledore? No matter how powerful they are, have they ever been Minister of Magic?

    “Phew——”

Malfoy took a deep breath; he was about to reread the contents of the note.

The words on the note suddenly changed, some letters disappeared, and others recombined, quickly forming new content.

“This letter is to be destroyed after reading. A lack of secrecy leads to the failure of great matters. Headmaster Dumbledore has a great influence and many eyes, so be careful and cautious.”

    “Uh…” Malfoy froze.

The paper burned without fire, quickly turning into a pile of ashes.

Malfoy was excited; he quickly tore off a piece of paper, dipped his quill in ink, and prepared to write back to Andy.

As he wrote his reply, he thought to himself that this young wizard named Andy Collins was indeed worthy of being a Ravenclaw.

He is not only brave and resourceful but also cautious.

He’s someone capable of doing great things.

It seems that the reason why he couldn’t dominate the first year was that he lacked such a strategist!

Malfoy felt that he already had Crabbe and Goyle, two generals. If he could bring Collins under his wing, he would have both civil and military power.

Wouldn’t he then soar to the sky?

Minister of Magic? Dark Lord? President of the International Confederation of Wizards?

Wouldn’t he be able to become whatever he wanted?

Malfoy quickly finished his reply, and using the same method, folded the paper into a paper crane and flew it to Andy’s desk.

    Quirrell naturally saw all this.

But he didn’t care and didn’t bother to deal with it.

He was doing something big, helping the Dark Lord resurrect, stealing the Philosopher’s Stone right under Dumbledore’s nose.

Two young wizards passing notes in class?

    Heh!

Andy opened the paper crane and read the contents.

Malfoy was even more enthusiastic than Andy had expected; he couldn’t wait to launch a joint complaint and get rid of Dumbledore.

Andy glanced at Malfoy, this kid is brave!

Malfoy nodded excitedly at Andy, leaving Andy somewhat puzzled.

    Andy continued reading the letter.

Although Malfoy wanted to act immediately, he also knew Dumbledore’s strength and influence. Acting rashly would only lead to failure.

He asked Andy in detail about the specific contents of the plan, and swore that he would follow Andy’s plan and would not deviate at all.

At the end of the letter, he also requested a private meeting with Andy and asked Andy to call him Draco.

This letter, like Andy’s, was also self-destructing after reading.

    He’s hooked.

Andy smirked, tearing off a piece of paper to write another letter to Malfoy.

Hermione leaned over curiously and asked, “What are you two whispering about so secretly?”
