Hogwarts: This Wizard is Unscientific 74
by adminChapter 74: Someone Read All of Ravenclaw’s Books Overnight?
Ravenclaw Dormitory.
Andy lay quietly in bed, replaying his recent meeting with Dumbledore in his mind.
Andy felt like he’d been tricked again.
As soon as they met, Dumbledore asked Andy: “Is there anything you don’t understand in your studies?”
Andy asked, and Dumbledore answered.
Then they chatted about Quirrell and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Dumbledore was frank, even revealing the secret that “Lord Voldemort is still alive.”
Although Dumbledore didn’t explicitly say that Voldemort possessed Quirrell, the implication was clear: Quirrell was Voldemort’s man.
On the way back to the dormitory, Andy asked more questions about magic, and Dumbledore answered them all, thoroughly clarifying Andy’s magical doubts.
Throughout the entire conversation, Dumbledore didn’t make any extra requests.
He was like a walking, talking grandpa, fulfilling all of Andy’s requests.
But then what?
Andy now knew the relationship between the Sorcerer’s Stone, Quirrell, and Voldemort. As a righteous young wizard, shouldn’t Andy do something?
Well, that’s exactly what Andy thought.
Andy decided from that moment on to dedicate himself to studying magic and ignore the outside world’s right and wrong.
Even if something happened to him, Andy could use Hermione’s secret weapon—telling a professor!
In short, absolutely no personal heroism.
Having made his decision, Andy slept soundly until noon the next day.
After lunch, Andy went to the library to finish his week’s homework.
Hogwarts homework was actually quite simple. The so-called essays were just about padding the word count; large sections of text could be directly copied from the books.
If you cast a spell on the quill, it could even write by itself, without even needing to move your hand.
A wand was all you needed.
Hermione scoffed at Andy’s homework. She thought Andy could have written better, instead of directly copying other people’s opinions.
After finishing his last assignment, Andy breathed a sigh of relief. He could finally do what he wanted.
Two months had passed since his last skill point allocation. Andy now had four potential points saved up, and he expected the fifth one within a week.
According to his plan, this time he would upgrade his [Transfiguration] skill.
Transfiguration was also a very important branch of magic. It could not only be used in combat, but human transfiguration also involved magical transformation, which would be a great help to Andy’s future.
As for Alchemy and Divination, Andy planned to consider adding points to those in his third year.
Hogwarts didn’t offer Alchemy as a course, and even self-study required a certain magical foundation. Plus, Alchemy didn’t improve combat ability.
Divination was an elective in the third year. Andy planned to add the [Divination] talent in his third year and then directly take the Divination class.
Before the third year, Charms and Transfiguration were the most important subjects.
After all, you can’t chew more than you can bite.
“I’m going to practice some magic for a while, do you want to come?” Andy asked.
Hermione had already finished her homework. The little witch was reading a book about legends of the wizarding world.
Ever since Andy gave her a “Collection of Wizarding World Legends” as a Christmas gift, the little witch had been fascinated by this topic.
According to the little witch, wizards were just legends to Muggles (non-magical people), but she herself was a witch.
So, could the legends of the wizarding world also be true?
“I’m going to read for a while longer,” Hermione said without looking up.
“Okay!” Andy packed up his books and left the library.
Andy was also curious about the legends of the wizarding world, but researching them was too time-consuming.
Moreover, time had passed, and many legends had been lost to history. Finding them would require too much effort.
It wasn’t worth it.
If there were clues, he might look into it.
“Hmm?”
As soon as he left the library, Andy saw a huge figure walking towards him.
Hagrid?
Why would he be in the library?
“Hello, Hagrid.” Even though they weren’t close, Andy greeted him since Hagrid was the first-year student guide.
“I’m Andy Collins, a first-year Ravenclaw student.”
To avoid any awkwardness from Hagrid not recognizing him, Andy thoughtfully introduced himself.
“Oh, hello, Collins.”
Hagrid’s personality wasn’t as rough as his appearance suggested. On the contrary, he was actually a very gentle person. “I heard Harry mention you. He said you’re a very studious young wizard.”
“Thank you!”
Andy asked, “Are you looking for a book? Do you need any help?”
“Oh, no, thank you!” Hagrid said, seeming a little flustered.
After saying goodbye to Hagrid, Andy went to the abandoned classroom on the sixth floor of the castle, full of questions.
Hagrid going to the library was as unbelievable as a pig climbing a tree. It directly told Andy that Hagrid had a secret.
Andy recalled the scenes from the movie.
As an important supporting character in the movies, and a half-giant, Andy had a strong impression of Hagrid. Besides taking Harry to Diagon Alley, the three-headed dog on the fourth floor was also Hagrid’s pet. Besides that, he also kept a dragon, which was later reported by Malfoy.
“There’s no plot of Hagrid going to the library…”
Andy was puzzled. Was Hagrid looking for some information?
*Slap!*
He slapped his forehead. Andy decided to forget about it immediately.
Being possessed by a Death-Note-style elementary school student wasn’t a good thing. It didn’t just mean walking around and dying everywhere; it meant trouble would follow.
Andy’s system was a talent system, not a pay-to-win system.
How could he defeat the BOSS without spending money?
Hagrid’s matter might be related to Quirrell. It was best to leave it to Harry to solve.
Andy took out his wand, ready to strengthen his transfiguration practice.
He needed to build a solid foundation, so that when the time came for talent points, a moment of insight would lead to a small improvement in his Transfiguration skills.
Andy had experienced this feeling twice before.
As he waved his wand, the old desks and chairs in the classroom began to transform into different shapes.
*Bang!*
The classroom door was pushed open.
“I knew you’d be here.”
Hermione had an unsurprised expression. “Here, I brought you dinner. Don’t you look at what time it is?”
Andy noticed that it was completely dark outside; he had missed dinner.
“Thank you!” Andy sincerely thanked her.
“Guess what I found?” Hermione said mysteriously.
Andy asked while eating, “What?”
*Bang!*
Hermione placed a thick book on the table, quickly flipped to a certain page, and pointed to the text, saying, “This book records that someone once read all of Ravenclaw’s books in one night.”
