Chapter 93: Analyzing the Mind from the Perspective of Dark Magic

Dumbledore walked to the window, looking up at the moonlight outside.

“Severus… if there’s a chance, you could offer Voldemort some help,” Dumbledore’s voice was strained.

“Do you know what you’re saying?” Snape looked incredulous.

    Dumbledore remained silent.

Voldemort would always resurrect, and Snape was the best informant planted beside him.

After a long pause, Dumbledore’s voice slowly rang out, “Of course I can prevent Voldemort’s resurrection. As long as I want to, Voldemort cannot make a comeback in my lifetime.”

    “But… I will die eventually!”

Dumbledore now had only one wish: to eliminate Voldemort while he was still alive.

Snape looked at Dumbledore with a complex expression.

This old man could actually ignore all this; he was over a hundred years old. Even with his profound magic, he could only live a few more decades at most.

    Wait… a few decades?

Wizards usually live longer than Muggles. Many powerful wizards live to be over 150 years old without being unusual.

And Dumbledore was only 110 years old this year.

    Snape: “…”

This old geezer isn’t trying to trick me, is he?

    “…I’ll find a chance,” Snape didn’t refuse.

Once Voldemort resurrected, whether he wanted to or not, Snape would have to go undercover again.

Speaking of which, Snape suddenly frowned, “If I knew the Dark Lord was still alive, but didn’t go find him…”

What’s the difference between that and betrayal?

Dumbledore said calmly, “If he asks in the future, just say you don’t know. As for this time… just consider it causing me some trouble!”

    Snape’s expression changed.

He hadn’t encountered Malfoy tonight, so Dumbledore’s excuse… could actually be plausible.

Snape stopped dwelling on it, “Have you checked the Forbidden Forest? Can you be sure the Dark Lord has left?”

“It’s not impossible for him to return.”

Dumbledore thought for a moment, “If he wants to enter the castle, there are only a few places he could hide…”

“Hmm?” Snape looked at Dumbledore, why didn’t he continue?

    “And Slytherin’s Chamber!”

Dumbledore said seriously: “Voldemort, during his student days, once opened Slytherin’s Chamber. A student died that year, and the school almost closed down because of it.”

If Voldemort was hiding in the Chamber, that would be disastrous.

The question is, does Slytherin’s Chamber have a secret passage leading outside the castle?

“Where exactly is the Chamber?” Snape asked.

“Even I don’t know how many secrets are hidden in this castle,” Dumbledore said helplessly.

Snape snorted, a truly clueless old fool.

“If there’s nothing else, I’m going to patrol the castle,” Snape was planning to squat outside the Gryffindor common room for a while. If Harry came out for a nighttime stroll, tonight would be a huge win.

“Thank you for your hard work, Severus,” Dumbledore said softly.

Snape said nothing, and turned to leave the Headmaster’s office.

    Ravenclaw Common Room.

Andy sat on the sofa, closing his eyes and doing a set of eye exercises.

“I was a bit impulsive tonight!”

Actually, Andy could have ignored the matter, but Malfoy was just an eleven-year-old child, and it was because of Andy that he got into this mess; it was somewhat unfair.

    Fortunately, the outcome wasn’t bad.

At least Malfoy was saved, and he also disrupted one of Voldemort’s plots.

Most importantly, Andy saw the book *Advanced Dark Magic Unveiled* in the Headmaster’s office. Even after reading only one chapter, Andy felt he had benefited greatly.

Analyzing mental power from the perspective of Dark Magic.

Ancient Dark Wizards, in their pursuit of understanding mental power, conducted many cruel and inhumane experiments.

Torture and abuse were mere child’s play; they controlled others to kill their relatives and friends, making them experience despair, or they would dismantle a person’s inner self from various aspects.

Countless useful conclusions were naturally drawn from these repeated experiments.

Even Muggles without magic, their emotions would affect their physical health. If a person is constantly angry, brooding over things, it can even affect their lifespan.

Andy had heard a saying in his previous life: “A smile can take ten years off your life.”

This shows the impact of mental power on humans.

For wizards, emotions, or mental power, are even more important.

If magic is the foundation of all magic, then mental power is not only the controller of magic but also its amplifier.

Andy took out parchment and a quill, recalling and copying down the content of the book.

Unfortunately, Andy didn’t have a photographic memory. Even though he had just read it a short while ago, he could only remember a few key points mentioned in the book.

After writing, Andy put away the parchment, got up and went to the Ravenclaw library.

It was still early, and Andy wasn’t sleepy, so he might as well read more books to enrich his mind.

Before, Andy wasn’t very interested in these legendary stories.

The authenticity of these stories is questionable. Even if they were true, they would have been embellished by later generations, differing greatly from the real stories.

However, after learning that Helena Ravenclaw had left some things here, Andy became very interested in these storybooks.

When he had nothing to do, he would always come here to read a few books.

Andy had already read the book Hermione mentioned last time.

That book recorded some ancient Egyptian myths. Besides ancient Egyptian wizards, the book also recorded many hieroglyphs and various legends of ancient Egyptian gods.

The book even said that ancient Egypt was the birthplace of magical knowledge.

Of course, this is also a view recognized by many scholars today.

After reading that book, Andy read many books related to ancient Egypt, but unfortunately, the harvest was meager.

“To reach the level of the four founders, if they want to make further progress in magic, the only way is to study the essence of magic.”

    Andy firmly believed this.

Based on the clues currently available, the four founders’ research directions were different, but their ultimate goal was always magic itself.

    “Magic…”

Andy pondered, what was Helena Ravenclaw’s research direction?

“It couldn’t possibly be historical legends, could it?”

Andy took out a piece of parchment from his pocket, on which were recorded all the book titles here.

Andy checked them one by one.

If Helena Ravenclaw really left something here, the most likely thing would be her research results.

The results of their pursuit of the origins of magic.

“It couldn’t possibly be in these poems and essays, could it?”

Having poems and essays in a magic school library is somewhat unusual.

Andy walked to the bookshelf with poems and essays, his eyes scanning the titles and authors.
