Hogwarts: This Wizard is Unscientific 95
by adminChapter 95: Absolutely Do Not Learn from Gryffindor
What? You three are following me from now on?
Andy was dumbfounded.
Terry explained, “The school has issued new rules. Until the attacker who assaulted Professor Donnell and Malfoy is caught, all students are forbidden from leaving the castle.”
“Except in the dormitory, Great Hall, and during classes, everyone must move in groups of three or more.”
Anthony added, “Even professors without classes are required to patrol the castle at irregular intervals.”
Andy and Hermione exchanged a glance.
With their intelligence, they naturally understood that the school’s serious response could only mean that Quirrell’s danger level had significantly increased.
If Quirrell’s goal was the Philosopher’s Stone, he might act soon.
“Andy, do you think… who really attacked Professor Donnell and Malfoy? It couldn’t possibly be Potter, right?” Michael asked curiously.
“How would I know?”
Andy shrugged. “Don’t think too much about it. In short, all we can do is try not to cause trouble for the professors; the professors will handle the rest.”
“I’m glad you realize that, Collins…” A chilling voice suddenly sounded. Andy recognized Snape’s voice instantly.
“Good morning, Professor Snape,” Andy greeted enthusiastically, as if nothing was amiss.
“…Good morning.” Snape’s smile was… ambiguous?
“Pr…Professor Snape,” Andy’s three roommates trembled.
Snape scanned the three of them.
As if telepathically connected with Snape, the three instantly understood his meaning and, without a hint of loyalty, abandoned Andy and ran away.
Andy: Who said they’d follow me?
Fortunately, Hermione was loyal.
“Your luck won’t always be this good… Collins…”
Snape’s voice was very low, his tone still slow and unhurried. “You escaped last night, but you won’t be so lucky next time. But thankfully… you’re not a foolish Gryffindor.”
After saying this, Snape looked at Andy with a hint of disappointment.
He was waiting for Andy to interrupt him.
As long as Andy interrupted, he could deduct five or ten points from Andy for disrespecting a professor.
“Thank you for your reminder, Professor Snape.”
Andy put on the demeanor of a model student. “I’m not a Gryffindor, I won’t violate the school rules.”
Snape glanced at Andy, then turned and left.
“What did Professor Snape mean?”
Hermione looked at Andy. “He mentioned ‘last night.’ What were you doing last night?”
“He was reminding me not to be like a Gryffindor, especially not to be like Harry and Ron, who only know how to act rashly when facing problems.”
Andy sighed. “I thought of something last night, and I wanted to inform Headmaster Dumbledore, but then I saw Malfoy go to the Restricted Section on the fourth floor.”
“Malfoy…!”
The young witch was about to exclaim, but immediately covered her mouth, whispering, “Malfoy went to the Restricted Section?”
Andy nodded. “Maybe it was the Imperius Curse, or maybe someone tampered with his memory. In short… Malfoy is a bit abnormal.”
After a pause, Andy continued, “Then I ran into Professor Snape. He was probably worried that I would overestimate my abilities and try to solve Quirrell alone.”
“He was probably worrying for nothing.”
Hermione snorted. “You’ll just let others deal with Quirrell.”
Andy: …
You know me too well.
After breakfast, Andy completed his daily routine of attending classes, going to the library, and practicing magic. Time quickly passed to evening.
Hogwarts was always a breeding ground for rumors. After a day’s fermentation, the attack incident escalated among the students.
Especially this time, even the professors started to take it seriously.
Not only was the castle sealed off, but professors were patrolling the castle, and students’ daily activities also required at least three people together.
Many people were discussing the attack incident.
Who was the culprit?
Who would be the next target?
Why was Malfoy attacked twice?
Was the culprit really Harry Potter?
The young witches and wizards discussed enthusiastically. Some even took the opportunity to sell amulets, reportedly making a fortune.
“I wonder when the school will catch Quirrell,”
On the way to the Great Hall, Hermione was still a little worried. “I’m also curious if Quirrell’s purpose is to steal the Philosopher’s Stone, rather than revenge for being expelled from school.”
“As long as we don’t go to the Restricted Section on the fourth floor, we won’t be in danger.” Andy had a nonchalant expression.
The secret to winning effortlessly is: don’t move; if you move, you’ll easily fall.
Andy had set Malfoy up once, but he also saved his life last night.
From then on, they were even, and each went their separate ways.
“You’re right!”
The young witch said angrily, “Andy, if you go out at night again, I’ll tell Professor Flitwick, let him… Why are they here again?”
Andy followed Hermione’s gaze and saw Harry and Ron walking towards them from the opposite direction.
“Andy, we need your help!” Ron said straightforwardly, his expression somewhat indignant.
“What do you want again? Andy won’t break the rules like you two.” Hermione pursed her lips, her face looking unpleasant.
Andy pulled Hermione, giving the young witch a reassuring look. “If it’s about the rumors… once the school catches the attacker, your suspicions will naturally be cleared.”
“I didn’t attack Malfoy, and I wouldn’t attack Professor Donnell,” Harry explained irritably.
Andy shrugged and didn’t respond.
Harry and Ron were indeed bothered by the school’s rumors, and the only way to solve this was to catch the attacker.
So… they planned to do it themselves.
However, two consecutive failed night outings made Harry deeply aware of his shortcomings, so he decided to find a helper.
So Ron thought of Andy.
Andy had demonstrated the Disillusionment Charm. According to Ron, Andy’s Disillusionment Charm was so skillful that he probably went out at night often.
So they planned to take Andy along on a night outing… uh, to catch the attacker.
After hearing Harry and Ron’s request, the young witch immediately frowned, ready to lecture them.
Andy quickly pulled Hermione.
The young witch had high intelligence but low emotional intelligence. Three out of five sentences she said would usually annoy people.
“Sorry, I can’t help you with this.”
Andy directly refused. “The professors are already investigating the attacker; all we can do is not cause trouble for the professors.”
“We’re not causing trouble.”
Harry took a deep breath, as if calming himself down. “We have clues.”
“Then you should tell the professors.” Hermione said unceremoniously.
No wonder Professor Snape told Andy not to learn from Gryffindor. It turns out that Gryffindors are like this.
