Chapter 114: I Am Human, Hello!

Chapter 114: I Am Human, Hello!

The warrior with eagle-eye abilities remained motionless, gripping his machine gun. He watched helplessly as the donkey-headed monster went berserk, screaming as it slaughtered several shadowy figures. “Something incredibly strong is cutting down monsters ahead, incredibly strong… like killing chickens… what the hell, what level of physique is this? More monstrous than the monsters themselves,” he hissed, the words barely audible.

    His companions’ faces changed slightly.

“He’s killing a bunch of shadowy figures with just his physique… but he’s been hit a few times too, he might need to watch his back… hey, I wonder if he’s friendly fire!”

Suddenly, Eagle-eye remembered something: “Wait, that alien… didn’t he have a donkey head mask!”

    “Yes! He does!”

The telepath, Tado, shrieked urgently over the communication channel: “What have we encountered… there might be that powerful alien ahead, I’ll record until the very end… we actually met him! The Governor’s premonition was correct!”

“He’s charging!” Eagle-eye roared. “Careful, a few more shadowy figures are coming too!!”

Almost all the soldiers heard the roaring wind. With a “whoosh,” they raised their weapons.

    “He’s going to hit us!!”

As if bracing for a furious storm, almost the moment the words left his mouth, the raging tempest crashed before them.

The healer instinctively reached out, casting a green resinous light.

Two shadowy figures charged at the forefront!

This humanoid creature was covered in countless scarlet eyes.

    Cold, deathly silent.

Bathed in the emerald light, all the eyes closed shut. It froze in place like a zombie.

“Rattle-tat-tat!” The machine gun unleashed a fierce torrent of fire, riddling it with bullets.

Following the shadowy figures was an extremely fast red light!

The expected clash didn’t happen. At the instant it was about to collide with the shadowy figure, the red light suddenly leaped back, retreating several steps.

It was indeed a donkey-headed creature, clad in black armor. It raised its shield, seemingly wary of the machine gun’s sweep.

The soldiers’ eyes widened as they clearly saw this donkey-headed monster radiating killing intent… lava-like fire flickered in its eye sockets, burning brightly for a moment before slowly dying down.

The creature, seemingly possessing intelligence, cautiously made strange sounds.

“I am human, hello.” (Old Cat speaking)

It then made several gestures, signaling them to extinguish the green resinous flame.

This might be the first contact between humanity and an intelligent extraterrestrial civilization!

The real first time! (Old Cat doesn’t count!)

When Lu Yuan heard the gunshots, he realized he’d encountered living aliens, and quickly stopped his high-speed run. His mind went blank.

“This dog-shit life of mine can only be described as a rollercoaster.”

He didn’t know what to feel. Happiness? Joy? Sadness? Overwhelmed with emotion?

In this hellhole, my small step is truly a giant leap for mankind! This is truly something that can only be described with a “fuck!”

Lu Yuan composed himself and saw the sickly green light, and six lizard-like creatures… wearing transparent glass gas masks, thick bulletproof vests, their skin covered in brown scales, standing about 1.8 meters tall, walking upright, large backpacks on their backs. The dark muzzles of their guns were pointed directly at him.

    [Unknown Civilization・Unknown Creatures.]

[Alive, possibly intelligent. Possibly Rize Civilization individuals.]

    [Mental state not very good.]

    [Physique: 5.6]

    [Qi: 4.7]

    [Spirit: 4.5]

    [Ability: Telepathy]

    [Supra Grade: Level 1]

    This guy actually has telepathy?

Lu Yuan was stunned. In other words, this guy, trying to use telepathy on him, accidentally saw the red moon, and then was attacked by the [Monster], and fell into this hellhole.

    “I’m so sorry, brother.”

Looking at the other five lizard people, they all possessed abilities!

It was clearly an elite squad, perhaps attempting to subdue this terrifying phenomenon. However, it was clear they didn’t even have a Level 1 Transcendent Fire Seed, with average attributes of only 5 points; reaching this far, they were already at their wit’s end.

Then he noticed the candle-like object in their hands emitting a green glow.

The Explorer’s Eye burned unusually hot, seeming to convey a dangerous signal. Even the Transcendent Fire Seed began to jump wildly.

[A drop of sealed blood, originating from a [Ghost].]

[Warning: [Ghost] is possibly the strongest natural disaster on the Pangu Continent.]

[Do not let the [Ghost] escape, not even a drop of blood, otherwise, you will die.]

    [Every [Ghost] is immortal.]

    “Holy shit!”

Lu Yuan’s heart pounded, he was about to explode!

[Demon], [Monster], and now a [Ghost]. If a [Demon]’s ability is immortality, then a [Ghost]’s ability is simply indestructibility. Even just a drop of blood gave him an extreme sense of terror.

“Are these six guys not afraid of death? Igniting the Ghost’s seal…” He quickly gestured for them to extinguish the light. Simultaneously, he said to Old Cat: “Comrade, we’ve encountered the strongest natural disaster, what is a [Ghost]? Can it kill a [Monster]?”

Old Cat began searching its fragmented memories: “Um… I seem to remember something… Ghosts, also called [Eerie Things], are absolute idealistic beings; within their rules, they can slaughter everything.”

“But I think there’s no such thing as the strongest. Because [Ghosts] lack intelligence, finding their rules will allow you to avoid the corresponding risks.”

“On the other hand, this [Monster] before us possesses a bit of intelligence, making it a much more troublesome combatant.”

“Okay… we can’t release the Ghost until the last moment, right?” Lu Yuan swallowed hard. “I need to communicate with these Rize people, can I borrow your translation device?”

Old Cat spat out something resembling an earphone: “Use this.”

The communicator’s built-in translator was inside it. With this small earphone, simultaneous translation was possible.

“Friends, hello, I am an intelligent lifeform, a human… please extinguish that flame, and let us fight together?” Perhaps due to his long absence from human society, Lu Yuan felt his ability to boast had diminished. In such a serious situation, he didn’t know what he was saying.

Old Cat couldn’t stand it anymore. When you met me, Old Cat, your diplomatic language was superb, why have you become so awkward now?

So it arbitrarily modified Lu Yuan’s speech.

“Unknown civilization, greetings. I am a traveler from human civilization.”

“Although our meeting place is not ideal, I can still express my joy at our encounter.”

“First, I must request that you extinguish that candle. It seals a terrifying phenomenon, the [Ghost], and if this phenomenon escapes its seal, we will all perish.”

“Therefore, please extinguish the candle’s flame, and then we can talk.”

While friendly, it was also firm: that flame must be extinguished, otherwise, everyone would die.

Lu Yuan’s face twisted into a bitter grimace. He admitted that Old Cat’s speech was more sophisticated, but your alteration makes me look uneducated… like I didn’t graduate from elementary school.

Luckily, he was wearing a donkey head mask, so his facial expression couldn’t be seen. Only the flames in the donkey head mask’s eye sockets flickered.

The Rize civilization squad also curiously examined Lu Yuan.

    Fearsome, powerful.

The sudden appearance of an alien eased the atmosphere of despair, as if they could survive…

The appraisal specialist in the team’s eyes emitted a faint glow.

    [A possibly intelligent being.]

    [Attributes: ???]

Well, under the suppression of levels, he naturally couldn’t determine Lu Yuan’s specific attributes, but he at least determined the “suspected intelligent lifeform” conclusion.

Next, Old Cat emitted strange yet understandable language, again shocking the small team.

The telepath, Tado, hurriedly reported: “We actually encountered an extraterrestrial civilization here! The other party is so strong! They can defeat the monsters here! This is incredible… we now have a chance to survive!”

“The other party asked us to extinguish the burning resin… should we obey?”

“He said the Earth Mother’s blood is actually a [Ghost]… what is a [Ghost]?”

Tado heard the joy and excitement from the other side through telepathy… well, the pressure from the rear was also great, after all, this team of soldiers was the seventh branch, the strongest team that could be dispatched.

There wasn’t much to hesitate about.

Given the huge disparity in strength between the two sides, this was actually a polite way of speaking; directly using force could solve the problem more quickly and efficiently.

After a few seconds of hesitation, the green flame was extinguished, plunging the cave into darkness.

The Rize people also carried lighting tools, a high-powered light based on radioactive batteries – nuclear-powered lamps.

The lights flickered dimly, emitting a “sizzling” sound, as if about to go out at any moment.

…”The cave has severe idealistic interference, electricity is indeed not as stable as fire. But this electric lamp can still be used.”

Lu Yuan also breathed a sigh of relief.

Perhaps because they had just experienced a great battle, the [Monster] didn’t send more minions to attack for a while.

Taking advantage of this safe period, Lu Yuan led the Rize people towards the location of the tent.

He was excited, his heart beating rapidly.

Thousands of words seemed to brew in his heart, heavy and weighty.

But when it came down to it, facing the same intelligent beings, he didn’t know what to say…
