Chapter 64: A Good Way to Communicate

Compared to the human side, the flow of time was much slower. Two months had passed for Lu Yuan, but less than a day had gone by in the safe zone. Scientists were still frantically discussing the scenes transmitted in the video.

“A supernatural world, anything is possible.”

“Yes. But we can’t fantasize about instant success. After all, we don’t have any nearby civilization ruins. A rush-in approach will only bring risks.”

“Is there any new development from Lu Yuan’s side?”

    “No.”

To the scientists’ exasperation, Lu Yuan had tossed the metal sphere back into the junk room, and all they could see was a chaotic pile of gold. Only through a fleeting glimpse when Lu Yuan happened to be in the junk room could they get a tiny bit of information.

“He’s back from scavenging again. Truly unwavering in his principle of scavenging through wind and snow.”

“When I was doing research in impoverished areas, I saw some elderly people whose houses were filled with trash, even the corridors were piled high.”

“Getting them to clean it up was like asking for their lives. It’s called hoarding disorder, or maybe obsessive-compulsive disorder, a psychological phenomenon caused by drastic environmental changes…”

“Also, haven’t you noticed…he’s gotten much stronger?”

“Knock knock!” A knocking sound came from outside the door. Li Chunhong and several military officers arrived.

Thanks to the generous rewards from achieving a civilization milestone, everyone was in a good mood, chatting and laughing, discussing what the next possible milestone might be.

These rewards might be useless to Lu Yuan, but for a fledgling civilization, especially one newly arrived on the Pangu Continent, they were incredibly valuable.

After much deliberation, the easiest milestone they came up with was: crafting equipment.

The lab still had some inferior-grade materials.

But how to activate the inherent abilities of the inferior materials was another problem plaguing the scientists.

Li Chunhong said with a smile, “Professors, you’re discussing so enthusiastically, have you made some significant discovery?”

“Haha, we were just casually chatting. Look at him, he’s stronger than an ox, carrying that sack of metal, several hundred kilograms, right?” Professor Zhang Hui showed some footage on the screen.

“He’s incredibly strong indeed. Is it because of his diet?” A colonel, seeing his muscular physique, praised him.

“The effects of those transcendent foods are indeed very good, but not to the extent of increasing strength several times over.” Professor Zhang patted a strong man beside him named Guo Weiqiang, who innately possessed the ability of “giant strength.”

“Guo Weiqiang, do you have his strength?”

The strong man grunted, “I do, but I can’t sustain such heavy physical labor for long periods.”

Zhang Hui explained, “The vitality brought by transcendent food is essentially nutrients. If consumed in large quantities without scientific training, it doesn’t necessarily bring benefits.”

“This vitality will only accumulate into useless fat, or be directly lost.”

“Now he’s like a superman, capable of beating up an entire platoon single-handedly. He most likely possesses some cultivatable ability.”

Zhang Hui was very puzzled but had no answer, racking his brain in vain.

The military officers were also moved.

If the soldiers of Yunhai City all possessed such strength, the withdrawal of the safe zone would be secured.

In short, the top priority now was to contact Lu Yuan!

As long as they could contact him, all difficulties would be solved.

    But how to contact him?

The other side’s screen was broken, and the speaker was also broken!

Should they use the alarm vibration again?

But if Lu Yuan misunderstood again and shut down the communication function of the metal sphere, what would they do?

If that happened, they wouldn’t even have this video anymore!

This was a common problem for all of humanity. Not only Yunhai City, but experts from other cities were also working hard to think of solutions.

Suddenly, a commotion came from the next room. Several young PhDs shouted excitedly, as if they had thought of some earth-shattering good idea.

    “Haha, we’ve figured it out!”

“We… have found a good way to contact him!”

    … …

    Pangu Continent, Midea Civilization ruins.

Winter passed, spring arrived, all things revived. The sleeping land gradually exuded life and vitality as the temperature gradually rose.

A winter had quietly passed with diligent training.

The hibernating wolf pack also awoke from the snow, poking their heads out one by one, wagging their big tails to greet Lu Yuan.

    “Oh, you’re awake? Happy spring.”

    “You’ve lost some weight.”

    “Woof!”

A small wolf launched a fierce attack, affectionately hugging Lu Yuan’s leg, its butt wiggling – Lu Yuan was shocked, was this a reincarnated teddy bear?

Another small wolf jumped up and down, rolling over to reveal its belly, with a “come pet me” expression – was this a husky?

A large group of small wolves ran wildly through the city ruins, leaving a series of small footprints in the remaining snow.

Lu Yuan was not stingy with these little companions, sharing all his winter spoils.

Things like honey bread, magical pomegranates – he couldn’t finish them all by himself, so sharing a little was fine.

    But he didn’t give much.

    Just a taste.

On the one hand, the transcendent food had too much life energy. If the little wolves ate too much, it would be excessive; on the other hand, he couldn’t let these wolves lose their wildness.

Most of the food had to be found by the wolf pack themselves.

Because he would leave someday. If he let them develop lazy habits, the day he left might be the end of the world for these wolves.

Lu Yuan looked at the lively yard, and the thought of leaving suddenly brought a strange sadness.

He knew where this faint sadness came from, but he could only force himself not to think too much.

    “Cultivate! Cultivation makes one happy!”

    [Physique: 13.4] (originally 12.5)

    [Qi: 11.2] (originally 10.3)

    [Spirit: 11.0] (originally 10.1)

The progress over the past month was quite good.

With the assistance of abundant resources, Lu Yuan’s growth rate far exceeded that of the Midea civilization’s strongest genius!

“Fire lizard meat can increase the growth rate of the ‘Physique’ attribute.”

“Honey can increase the growth rate of the ‘Qi’ attribute.”

“And the mysterious pomegranate fruit can increase the growth rate of all attributes.”

“There’s still a lot of these foods, enough to eat for several years.”

These transcendent ingredients, plus the occasional mountain delicacies offered by the wolf pack, plus the potatoes and vegetables grown in the botanical garden, ensured a diverse diet.

“Besides the divine milestone, I can’t think of anything else worth trying.”

“But what other divine milestones are there… I can’t think of any…”
