Chapter 12: A Good Persona Is a Good Thing

In the morning, Gang Zitie got up, quickly finished washing up, ate breakfast, and rushed to school.

“You got up pretty early today, why are you in such a hurry?” his mother asked with a puzzled look.

“Of course it’s to go to school early and study,” Gang Zitie replied without turning around.

This was just a white lie to his mother. While Gang Zitie didn’t dislike school, he didn’t particularly enjoy it either, as not all teachers were as lively and engaging as Muyue.

The real reason Gang Zitie was so eager to get to school was that he was anxious to know if his best friend, Shen Yueyun, had taken the first step in his romantic pursuit.

He had given Shen Yueyun advice on Thursday, but on Friday, Shen Yueyun said he hadn’t dared to act yet, that he needed to “brew” it a little longer.

Gang Zitie figured that two days over the weekend should be enough time to “brew.”

When Gang Zitie arrived at the classroom, there weren’t many people there yet, and Shen Yueyun hadn’t arrived either.

However, Shen Yueyun didn’t keep him waiting long. After about seven or eight minutes, he saw Shen Yueyun walking in, looking listless.

“Yueyun, did you not sleep well last night?” Gang Zitie asked, puzzled.

    Shen Yueyun shook his head.

“Did you give her the flowers over the weekend?” Gang Zitie asked excitedly.

“Ah, don’t mention it,” Shen Yueyun’s expression became even more gloomy at Gang Zitie’s words.

“She wasn’t looking at our family’s flower garden because she liked the flowers; she’s allergic to pollen and was worried about the pollen blowing over.”

Gang Zitie was silent for a moment after hearing this news, then asked, “So, did you give her the flowers?”

Shen Yueyun didn’t answer Gang Zitie’s question, but his silence and melancholic expression answered the question for him.

Gang Zitie patted Shen Yueyun on the shoulder and comforted him:

“It’s okay. I remember a girl who played with Mei Hui is quite cute. How about we get together sometime to hang out and get to know her?”

“That’s a great idea, Tie-ge (older brother),” Shen Yueyun’s spirits immediately lifted, and he said with a smile. “I thought of another brilliant plan to help you deal with your cousin over the weekend!”

“That’s great! Tell me about it.”

    “Class is starting!”

Muyue’s voice reached their ears, and the two of them realized that class had already begun; they had been so engrossed in their conversation that they hadn’t noticed the bell.

So the two of them quickly sat down and started listening to the lecture. They had missed Muyue’s classes for two days, and they were really looking forward to it.

Muyue didn’t disappoint them. The class was relaxed and enjoyable, and they unknowingly absorbed a lot of knowledge.

    [Lecture Completed]

    [Evaluation: A]

[Reward Obtained: Water Release: Water Severing Wave]

Seeing that the reward was Water Severing Wave, Muyue’s eyes lit up instantly. This Ninja Technique was no simple matter.

This was a Water Release technique developed by the Second Hokage, capable of emitting a high-pressure, straight water jet with tremendous power, even capable of cutting through the roots of the God Tree.

Muyue was in a very good mood after receiving this reward, and then another good thing happened.

“Teacher Muyue, I remember you don’t have classes in the afternoon. Could you possibly cover my class for me? I have a Ninja Technique class with the Year Four, Class Two, in the afternoon.”

In the office, Chigu Yong walked over to Muyue, hoping Muyue would cover his class again.

“Covering your class is no problem, Teacher Chigu. Are you feeling unwell?” Although she was happy to get another reward, she still needed to maintain her persona. Muyue asked with a worried expression.

“I’m fine, thank you for your concern, Teacher Hayase.” Chigu Yong first thanked Muyue, then explained, “It’s my blind date. She asked me out for a walk this afternoon.”

“Why didn’t you pick a day with fewer classes?” Ueda Aya chimed in.

“I wish I could, but she said she only has time this afternoon,” Chigu Yong replied. If he had a choice, he wouldn’t want to bother Muyue. After all, Muyue was such a nice person, and seeing him inconvenienced made Chigu Yong feel bad.

Ueda Aya couldn’t be bothered to say anything more to Chigu Yong; she genuinely felt that he and his blind date wouldn’t have a good outcome.

Because if the other person was truly interested, they would definitely consider Chigu Yong’s situation, rather than making him trouble his colleagues.

“Then, Teacher Chigu, good luck,” Muyue said with a smile, busy adding, “Let him earn more rewards.”

“Thank you so much, Teacher Hayase. If it goes well, I’ll treat you to a meal at the most expensive restaurant in Konoha,” Chigu Yong thanked him, then rushed out of the office. He had to go home to change his clothes and tidy himself up.

“Wasn’t I right, Teacher Hayase? If you keep doing this, people will ask you to cover their classes whenever they don’t have time,” Ueda Aya sighed.

“Helping others is a good thing, and colleagues should help each other,” Muyue said with a serious expression.

“You’re just too kind, and it’s easy to get taken advantage of,” Ueda Aya lamented.

Muyue smiled without saying anything and began practicing calligraphy.

Seeing Muyue’s serious expression while practicing calligraphy, Ueda Aya couldn’t help but feel that the gap between people was immense. If Chigu Yong had even a quarter of Muyue’s excellence, he wouldn’t still be single.

When she felt the time was about right, Muyue put away her writing implements, tidied her desk, and went to Year Four, Class Two to teach.

Muyue arrived at the classroom door just as the bell rang.

“Teacher Chigu has something to attend to, so I will be substituting for his Ninja Technique class this afternoon,” Muyue explained as she went up to the front.

She glanced at the classroom. Everyone was there except Obito.

About three minutes into the class, Obito rushed into the classroom. Seeing Muyue at the lectern, Obito was dumbfounded.

He had run so fast, and he actually saw Teacher Muyue in his class. That was Obito’s inner thought at that moment.

For a moment, he even doubted whether he had gone to the wrong classroom, but seeing the familiar faces of his classmates, he clearly hadn’t.

Obito didn’t bother to rest, quickly explaining,

“Teacher Muyue, I’m not deliberately late, I ran into… .”

“An old lady who needed help, wasting your time,” someone in the class finished his sentence before he could, causing a burst of laughter.

“I’m telling the truth! If I had known Teacher Muyue would be teaching this afternoon, I would have come half an hour early,” Obito continued to explain.

He was afraid Muyue would think he wasn’t studying hard and wouldn’t teach him.

“Go back to your seat,” Muyue nodded, acknowledging Obito’s explanation, then added, “You can’t be late for Teacher Chigu’s class either.”

Ninja school’s Ninja Technique classes started from Year One, but only three techniques were taught: Transformation Technique, Shadow Clone Technique, and Substitution Technique.

Although learning only a few basic Ninja Techniques over several years might seem like a waste of time, it’s actually quite reasonable because geniuses like Shisui are ultimately a minority.

For those whose ninja career will end as Middle-Ranked Ninjas, mastering these three techniques isn’t easy, and there are other courses as well.

Although they had attended countless classes on the Transformation, Shadow Clone and Substitution Techniques, Muyue’s Ninja Technique class still made them feel enlightened.

“So that’s how it is! No wonder my clones didn’t look like me before,” a student made progress on the spot.

“I wish Teacher Chigu had more things to do, so we could have more of Teacher Muyue’s classes,” a student jokingly expressed their thoughts.

Those around them echoed their sentiments.

Muyue didn’t comment on this; he only inwardly marveled at how useful the system’s skills were.

    [Lecture Completed]

    [Evaluation: A]

[Reward Obtained: Lightning Release: Lightning Clone]

The techniques of Lightning-nature Chakra transformation and various experiences of Lightning Release: Lightning Clone instantly appeared in Muyue’s mind.

While not an exceptionally powerful Ninja Technique, unlocking another Chakra attribute made Muyue feel pretty good, especially since he had already received a reward in the morning.

Over the next half-month, Muyue maintained this rhythm. If nobody asked him to cover classes, he would research Ninja Technique theory in the office; if someone needed a substitute, he was always ready; he would teach Obito and Shisui at home and then cultivate his Chakra.

Possibly because his substitute teaching was of such high quality, the students he taught all wanted to have him teach them again. Coupled with Muyue’s good relationships with other teachers, Muyue quickly became a renowned teacher at the Ninja school.

The students felt Muyue was a perfect teacher: fun to learn from, kind, and handsome.

The teachers felt Muyue was a sincere and kind colleague.

As the center of attention, Muyue didn’t have many thoughts. He had simply established the persona he wanted, and now he was guessing why the masked Ninja was standing in his yard.

I apologize everyone, something came up, so the update is late.
