Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the novel should officially be available for purchase at precisely 12:05 PM tomorrow.

First, I’d like to thank all the readers who have been following along, voting, and donating. The free period didn’t allow for many updates, only 4,000 characters a day, so I understand why some of you thought the chapters were too short.

Now, let me play the victim card a bit. This book has had quite a rough time. I haven’t even done anything wrong, yet chapters keep getting blocked, which has hurt my ranking in the algorithm’s recommendations. My lackluster performance in the recommendation competition was probably also related to having a chapter blocked the day before the competition. The original plan was to launch next week, but since I lost the competition and the book wasn’t doing well, I’m bringing the release forward.

Though the current results aren’t very impressive, this is my first book after graduation, and I’m determined to write it well. I’ll work hard on updates, so don’t worry about me abandoning the story.

I also hold onto a sliver of hope. Even if the early results are poor, maybe things will improve later. It’s happened before. If you’re able, please consider subscribing on Qidian (Chinese online literature platform). I’m bowing deeply to all of you, my benefactors.

Currently, the book has around 25,000 bookmarks. Qidian now has anti-piracy measures in place, and successful authors generally have a subscription-to-bookmark ratio of around 5:1.

But I don’t think I have that kind of power yet. Therefore, my target for initial subscriptions is 2,500, a 10:1 ratio. Reaching that number would make me very happy. Anything beyond that would be a delightful surprise. I wonder if you can give me that surprise? (Starting to dream…)

Regarding updates, I guarantee at least five chapters on the launch day, and I’ll post as many as I can write.

Extra chapters will be added based on the following: For every 200 additional subscriptions beyond 2,000 initial subscriptions, I’ll add one extra chapter. Regarding average subscriptions, I’ll add one extra chapter for every 100 increase in average daily subscriptions, starting from the day after the launch (this is a permanent promise).
