Chapter 71: Regional Synergy (Seeking More Reads)

In Alierdo City, directly opposite the Evil Church, a large new building was undergoing its final finishing touches.

This building was completely different in style from the Evil Church.

The Evil Church was a necromantic, rural-style chapel with a graveyard attached.

But this building before him was clearly in the style of a Greek temple.

The Skeleton Soldiers Gu Xi had obtained from the Nether Bone Wind Academy had been transformed into three combat squads with corresponding troop types.

Now armed, they stood in the open space outside the Evil Church.

When Gu Xi emerged with forty Skeletons and ten Skeleton Archers, they quickly approached.

“Everyone prepare, we have a tough battle ahead. Sha Ya, you can begin.”

Under Gu Xi’s command, the Skeleton Soldiers of Combat Squad 3 quickly moved forward alongside the zombies, forming a circle in the open space before the Evil Church. Other Skeleton Soldiers, armed, waited in the outer perimeter.

Further back were Luna’s Ghostly Spirits and the Skeletons and Skeleton Archers Gu Xi had just recruited.

Gu Xi found a flagpole, raised his newly acquired Chieftain’s Banner, and then, holding his Fragmentation Rod, came to the outside of the Skeleton and zombie encirclement.

Sha Ya, knowing it was her turn to perform, stood in place, dressed in a red dress and holding a pair of daggers.

“Sir.”

“Ready?”

“Ready.” Sha Ya affirmed.

“Alright, let’s try it once. If you encounter danger, retreat immediately.”

Gu Xi spoke, handing the Silver Dragon Invisibility Cloak to Sha Ya.

Sha Ya put on the invisibility cloak and found herself in a gray space. In that space, a huge black Bone Dragon opened its eyes. This Bone Dragon was at least fifteen meters long, its black bones seemingly charred, with lingering silver flames all over its body.

The moment Sha Ya entered, the Bone Dragon noticed her.

Sha Ya remembered her task: find the Death Avatar and bring it back to Alierdo City.

Upon seeing the Bone Dragon, Sha Ya immediately threw a dagger at it.

As a “ding” sound echoed in Gu Xi’s ears, Gu Xi saw a black Bone Dragon burst from the black mist, appearing within the Skeleton Soldiers’ encirclement.

“Attack!”

Gu Xi immediately gave the attack order. All the zombies and Combat Squad 3’s Skeleton Soldiers charged forward, using their bodies and shields to pressure the massive Bone Dragon.

Luna immediately let out a scream at the Bone Dragon.

Banshee Wail!

The scream startled the Bone Dragon, which was about to take flight, causing it to take two steps back. At this moment, the arrows fired by the ten Skeleton Archers reached the Bone Dragon.

The attacked Bone Dragon instinctively swung its tail, knocking seven Skeleton Soldiers away.

At this time, the zombies had already reached the Bone Dragon, grabbing onto it with one hand and repeatedly hacking down with their cleavers with the other.
