Chapter 11: Initial Realm of Perfection, Fierce Yang Knife

“Now, I’ll take a look at the wife you’ve found for me, and I’ve caught a whiff of those dirty dogs,” the old ape said, glancing at Shen Yi before pulling its head close to Song Changfeng’s face. “However, as an official, you’re still too small, and you’re being controlled by those mediocre people. It’s not satisfying. Today, I’ll help you get rid of him and assist Shen Older Brother in taking another step up.”

Song Changfeng’s eyes widened in terror, and he screamed, “I quit my post! Don’t kill me… Shen Yi! I’ve never offended you! Why are you doing this?”

The three-headed ape demons burst out laughing at his expression.

Their laughter was piercing and unsettling, making Shen Yi’s heart grow uneasy. His voice was laced with coldness as he said, “Let him go.”

The old ape’s face suddenly changed color. Although it had addressed Shen Yi as “Older Brother,” it was just a mocking term, and in their eyes, Shen Yi was merely a submissive dogleg.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have prepared such a test for him.

What made a dogleg like Shen Yi dare to give orders here?

The old ape sneered, revealing its yellowish canines, and asked with interest, “What benefits would I get if I let him go?”

Shen Yi gazed at the old ape, pondered for a moment, and then replied with a condition that the old ape couldn’t refuse, “Let him go, and you’ll die a more comfortable death.”

The room fell silent after his words. The old ape’s eyes gradually revealed killing intent, “That’s interesting. What if I don’t let him go?”

Shen Yi raised his head, speaking sincerely, “I’ll dismember you into a skeleton.”

The ape demons hadn’t reacted yet, but Song Changfeng was already terrified, his eyes about to pop out of their sockets. He realized that Shen Yi had never intended to let him leave alive today!

Dismember into a skeleton? Who was going to dismember whom?

The ape demons from the Eastern Mountains weren’t like the Yellow-Skinned Demons from the Western Suburbs, where there were countless inferior ones, and seven or eight constables could barely catch one. But the ape demons, from start to finish, had only five brothers.

Excluding the unknown, ancient great demon that had been hiding for years, the four brothers were all top-notch experts. With their limited numbers, they could contend with the Yellow-Skinned Demons. And now, three of the four brothers had arrived!

Indeed, after hearing Shen Yi’s words, the old ape’s gaze had thoroughly cooled down.

It didn’t need to sneer or intimidate its enemies with a fierce roar.

The old ape simply increased the pressure on its hand, and its sharp fingernails dug into Song Changfeng’s forehead, squeezing his skull to the point where it seemed about to burst like a ripe watermelon.

It gazed at Shen Yi with indifference, hoping that this brain would teach him how to speak properly.

Just then, the old ape’s eyes revealed a hint of doubt, which quickly turned into fury!

Shen Yi had ignored its actions and turned to leave, standing before the two bewildered ape demons.

He took a moment to assess the situation and chose the one that had broken through the door and killed someone earlier.

Immediately, Shen Yi raised his hand, and with a fierce palm strike, he pressed down on the ape demon’s back without warning!

Under the powerful force, the ape demon crashed to the ground, its face buried in the broken tiles.

The other ape demon finally came to its senses, opened its mouth, and let out a sharp screech, even though it was in a desperate situation.

Its long, slender arm, unlike ordinary humans, rose in the air, forming a circular arc, covered with black fur, and was about to strike Shen Yi’s back with a powerful blow.

This was no longer an instinctual reaction but a highly skilled martial art.

Its left arm was ready to unleash a deadly strike after breaking Shen Yi’s spine.

Shen Yi bent down, pressing his hand against the ape demon’s back, and just as the other ape demon’s claw was about to strike, he casually blocked it with his arm.

The black-furred claw, which could have easily crushed Shen Yi’s spine, was instead lightly slapped away, and its tremendous force was instantly neutralized.

Immediately, Shen Yi’s long fingers grasped the ape demon’s throat, and with a slight increase in force, its neckbone was crushed.

From start to finish, Shen Yi didn’t even glance back.

His calm gaze focused on the gradually deforming ape demon’s head, and every time it struggled, his hand’s force increased.

The old ape’s movement momentarily froze, unsure of how this person, so familiar with its actions, could surpass its understanding.

But the death of one brother had clearly shattered its rationality.

It subconsciously wanted to use Song Changfeng in its hand to order Shen Yi to stop, but as it gazed at Shen Yi’s calm face, it suddenly realized.

The person in Shen Yi’s hand was its brother, while the person in its own hand… had no relation to Shen Yi whatsoever.

Enraged, the old ape kicked Song Changfeng away, jumped onto the table, and shouted, “Stop!”

Shen Yi withdrew his hand, flicking away the red and white sticky substance on his fingers.

He gazed at the approaching figure in the air, his hand resting on the knife hilt at his waist, ready to draw. However, his movement slowed down.

The old ape’s bloodshot eyes suddenly revealed a black mist, which quickly formed into a chain.

The black mist chain emitted an eerie cold aura, like a dragon curling, and struck towards Shen Yi!

Shen Yi’s brows furrowed slightly, his eyes revealing a hint of surprise. This was his first time seeing a demon’s technique.

The eerie cold aura was bone-chilling, as if it could freeze a person’s entire body and even affect their mental state.

He had thought that, after reaching the Initial Realm of Perfection, there would be no threats to himself. However, he finally felt a sense of danger.

As he thought, his knife-drawing movement changed, slowing down significantly compared to before.

His entire body’s blood and energy surged, and even his skin could feel the scorching heat.

The knife slowly left its sheath, its silver light covered in a thin, red mist, like flowing blood.

Suddenly, the knife swooped through the air!

The old ape’s eyes widened, looking at Shen Yi, who was only three feet away, as if he could rip the ape’s face apart with a single hand. However, its sharp fingernails trembled, unable to extend.

    It looked down, puzzled.

Only to see its own abdomen torn apart, its legs falling to the ground, even though it was still jumping in mid-air.

    “Clang.”

Shen Yi sheathed his knife and stepped over the two ape demon corpses on the ground.
