Zhugong believed that as long as he told Lady Zhujun everything about Liu Chang’an, Lady Zhujun would lose interest in him.

“I was passing by Wanhua Street and remembered that it was once a famous red-light district in Junsha. Most of the prostitutes there were middle-aged women, and some are still around now. He was wandering around, even buying some vegetables and garlic.” Zhugong reminisced, adding oil to the fire, “Perhaps he was living with an old prostitute… This kind of situation isn’t uncommon, as migrant workers are often lonely and psychologically dependent on others…”

“Zhugong, I just want you to tell the truth about what happened, no need for analysis!” Lady Zhujun said, her face red with anger, knowing that Zhugong was being evasive and not as straightforward as she was.

Qin Yanan couldn’t help but laugh on the side. What kind of person was Lady Zhujun looking for? Was it some illegitimate child of the Zhujun family?

Hearing Qin Yanan’s laughter, Lady Zhujun’s face turned red, feeling embarrassed, and glared at Zhugong. “Continue.”

“I chatted with him for a while,” Zhugong said, recounting his conversation with Liu Chang’an. “At that time, an electric bike suddenly came…”

“Was it an electric bike that hit him, and then he just got up, uninjured?” Lady Zhujun’s eyes sparkled.

“Are you crazy?” Qin Yanan couldn’t help but ask.

“Don’t interrupt!” Lady Zhujun stared at Zhugong expectantly.

“The electric bike was heading towards me, and he grabbed me. Then, without any warning, he hugged me like a pervert, taking advantage of the situation.” Zhugong said, expressionless. “I pushed him away, and he ran off, embarrassed.”

Lady Zhujun nodded silently.

“Who is she looking for?” Qin Yanan whispered to Zhugong.

“Third Miss said it’s a secret related to the whole world, and it can’t be revealed,” Zhugong replied.

Qin Yanan felt like bursting into laughter. Lady Zhujun turned to examine Zhugong, checking out her chest, waist, and legs.

Zhugong thought back to the time Lady Zhujun examined her rottweiler, and then told her to buy a pig and throw it off the top floor of the Bailong Center.

“Since he treated you like that, it means he’s interested in you. You should seduce him.” Lady Zhujun’s words were no surprise to Zhugong, yet they still made her feel uneasy.

Zhugong simply stared at Lady Zhujun, her expression blank.

“You’re such a beauty, and you’re wasting your charm. You should take the opportunity to use your charm, and it’s not like I’m asking you to throw yourself at him. There’s a way to do it… Why not?”

Qin Yanan cut in, “You’re really good at fooling people, Zhugong. Don’t listen to her. She’s not doing anything good.”

Lady Zhujun warned Qin Yanan, “Don’t ruin my plan!”

Qin Yanan hurriedly covered herself, really afraid of Lady Zhujun’s schemes. Sometimes, Lady Zhujun would even try to bite her.

“Five hundred thousand…” Lady Zhujun tempted Zhugong.

Zhugong snapped out of her daze, realizing that Lady Zhujun’s plan was beyond her expectations. It seemed that things weren’t as she had imagined… Lady Zhujun was indeed interested in Liu Chang’an, but it had nothing to do with romance. Even if Lady Zhujun had some feelings for Liu Chang’an, she wouldn’t ask Zhugong to do something like this.

Had she misjudged? But what was Lady Zhujun planning to do?

“One million…” Lady Zhujun raised the stakes.

Qin Yanan patted Lady Zhujun’s round buttocks, feeling good, like poking a soft balloon. “Isn’t it just about the money?”

“It’s not about the money.” Zhugong was used to Lady Zhujun’s way of doing things and didn’t feel hurt or offended. She thanked Qin Yanan for understanding and smiled faintly. “I can handle this task.”

“Have you already gathered his information?” Lady Zhujun closed her eyes.

“I just can’t understand why you want to see him, or why he won’t see you.” Zhugong didn’t deny it.

“In this world, there aren’t many interesting things, and interesting souls are even fewer. When the three gather together, you won’t ask why anymore.” Lady Zhujun’s long eyelashes fluttered, and after a while, she felt more and more convinced that she wasn’t dreaming that night. If Liu Chang’an was real, then what she saw must have happened.

“Interesting body?” Qin Yanan laughed. “I’m looking at one right now.”

“Two.” Lady Zhujun stretched out two fingers, saying coyly.

Zhugong retreated, knowing she had to report to Lady Zhujun, but ultimately, she was still Lady Zhujun’s assistant, and Lady Zhujun didn’t need to explain everything to her. As long as Zhugong was sure Lady Zhujun didn’t have romantic feelings for Liu Chang’an, that was enough.

In the end, it was just her own misjudgment, right? With Lady Zhujun’s background and perspective, it was impossible for her to really fall for a young man from the streets.

Zhugong’s vision of Liu Chang’an’s face floated in front of her, still so clear. Despite her initial biases against him, his image strangely made her think of a gentle breeze blowing through the forest, rustling the leaves, and bringing life and vitality.

After Zhugong left, only Lady Zhujun and Qin Yanan were left, with the two technicians, Ge Lanfen and Su Shan, temporarily absent.

“What are you plotting?” Qin Yanan asked again, but Lady Zhujun refused to say, and she didn’t plan to ask anymore.

“I met someone very interesting, but I need to see him, and he won’t.” Lady Zhujun knew that even if she told the truth, no one would believe her, and it would only add to Qin Yanan’s amusement.

“I also want to meet him,” Qin Yanan said, stretching lazily, and looking at Lady Zhujun with interest.

“I want to meet the man who’s going to possess the Qin family’s precious body,” Lady Zhujun said, her hands grasping at the air, enviously. “This must be a divine experience. I’m telling you, you’ll be the one to benefit eventually, so let me have some fun first, okay?”

“Go play with your own!” Qin Yanan suddenly sat up, her face red with anger.

Lady Zhujun laughed heartily, knowing that Qin Yanan’s reaction proved that she was indeed certain that the meeting in Junsha was arranged by her family.

Lady Zhujun had escaped to Junsha to avoid the arranged marriage, but she wasn’t against it. As the third miss of the Zhujun family, she had grown up with a circle of acquaintances filled with deliberate, utilitarian arrangements. She could accept it, but why not struggle for a more carefree life when there was no urgency?

Qin Yanan was different, coming from a powerful political family with high expectations for her marriage and transactions. Even though Qin Peng agreed to let Qin Yanan find her own boyfriend, the implication was different. Finding a boyfriend and finding a husband were two different things, and Qin Yanan knew she didn’t have the right to be picky, unlike some people who got to choose their own path.
