Chapter 71: Going Home! (Second Update!)
Looking at the name, Lin Yu smiled slightly and stopped paying attention. As long as the other party paid, the consignee didn’t matter.
“Pleasant cooperation!” He stood up and solemnly extended his right hand.
Opposite him, Jialimu also stood up, extending his hand to shake, his expression complex as he said, “Pleasant cooperation. When can I leave?”
“I’m already eager to get started.”
After putting away the contract, Lin Yu thought for a moment before replying:
“Tomorrow morning. I still have some things to handle, and you’ll probably need to ask for leave from school.”
“9 am tomorrow morning, meet at the school gate.”
“Good!” Nodding slightly at the two, Jialimu turned and left the office, his footsteps fading away at the end of the corridor.
In the office, Xia Jianjun, who had witnessed everything, stood by the window, watching Jialimu’s figure appear on the playground before asking:
“Why do you think he wants to buy the equipment himself?”
“Not him, it’s his tribe. Let’s go, let’s go to Lao Tang’s office, I have something for him.”
After packing up their things, the two left the office together and strolled towards Tang Yuanshan’s office.
They soon found Tang Yuanshan in his office. Without further ado, Lin Yu pulled out the world map.
Pointing to several thumbtacks on the world map, he said:
“The key to breaking the deadlock with America lies in Israel, and the key to breaking the deadlock with Israel lies in these few countries.”
“The attitude of other countries is ambiguous, but these countries, their people are generally anti-American and anti-Semitic.”
“In the two World Wars, America, far from the World Island, entered the game in the final stage and reaped the fattest rewards.”
“If this time, we let them personally enter the game and get bogged down here.”
“Then they won’t get the rewards, and in the end, they will continue to bleed. Once this snowball effect disappears, the internal contradictions of this country will manifest one by one.”
“That’s our opportunity.”
“Analyze this thoroughly, and you should be able to score some extra points in the staff department, maybe even send two more people over.”
“As for the textbooks you want, just wait!”
Tang Yuanshan held the world map in both hands, his eyes growing clearer and clearer as he looked at the thumbtacks, and the smile on his lips becoming increasingly unrestrained.
After a long time, he put away the map and said with exaggerated laughter: “Don’t worry, I won’t let your efforts go to waste!”
“Just worry about the money in your hands first. To be honest, I didn’t expect the international arms trade to be so profitable! It’s made me a little tempted.”
“Go for it! If your broken factory really can’t keep going, come to the school. I’ll tell everyone, and I’ll get you a professorship.”
After exchanging some more information with Tang Yuanshan, Lin Yu returned to the guesthouse, began planning his itinerary, and called the factory to have them prepare.
This client was richer than the Arabians, and he had to be carefully received.
Meanwhile, back in the dormitory, Jialimu took out his phone, went back to the rooftop, and dialed a number, connecting to international service.
After several minutes, the phone was finally answered.
“Uncle Roz, I’ve signed the contract with the other party. Their main products are rocket launchers, mortars, and bullets.”
“No tanks or planes.”
Hearing there were no tanks or planes, the person on the other end of the phone sighed, but didn’t seem too concerned.
After a brief pause, he pressed further, asking: “What’s the delivery timeframe? It’s best if it’s before the Americans make their move. Stockpile enough equipment, so we can better utilize the time difference to expand our territory.”
Listening to the phone, Jialimu glanced back at the hallway—no one was there—before saying to the other end:
“I’ll go to their factory and stay on the production line, waiting for the products to come out, so you need to arrange the transportation and handover as soon as possible.”
Knowing that his nephew would be guarding the production line, Roz breathed a sigh of relief and replied:
“The handover is simple. We’ll have the cargo ships transport them to Bandar Abbas in Iran, then overland to Badr堡, and finally to Kirkuk.”
The uncle and nephew exchanged a few brief words on the phone, finalizing the arrangements.
Putting away the phone, Jialimu turned and walked into the hallway, returning to the dormitory to pack his things.
…………
Early the next morning, the two met at the school gate and went together to the International Village train station, buying two hard-seat tickets. In the crowded crowd, they boarded the train to Laling.
When they arrived at Laling Train Station, more than ten hours had passed. The pale yellow lights of the train station shone on the square.
Lin Yu went to a nearby convenience store to make a phone call. When he came back, he found several beggars with bowls surrounding Jialimu.
“Kind brother, I haven’t eaten for days, give me some money.”
“Give me some money!”
The foreigner had never seen such a scene. He took out his wallet to give them money, but Lin Yu stopped him.
Then, he led these people to a nearby restaurant, paid, and pointed at the mixed-grain pancakes: “Get these.”
Taking the pancakes from the boss, Lin Yu enthusiastically distributed them to the beggars, each receiving three, enough for two days.
Holding the pancakes, the beggars looked at each other—they hesitated.
Cornmeal mixed with flour, spread on a hot griddle, the pancakes were quite comfortable to eat while still warm.
With a few side dishes, they were pretty good, but if they got cold and were eaten dry, they were no different from eating dry newspaper.
What’s more, they weren’t even hungry!
Seeing that they weren’t eating, Lin Yu pulled up a chair and sat down, his gaze unfriendly:
“Eat! Aren’t you hungry? Are you not giving face?”
“Each of you has hands and feet, rosy complexions, you eat well, and you come to the train station every day to beg for money, right?”
“Next time you come out to ask for money, remember to put some dirt on the skin around your collar.”
Hearing this, the beggars’ faces turned pale. One of them even threw his pancake to the ground, rolling up his sleeves to fight.
However, before he could act, a hand reached from behind and pressed down on his shoulder: “Calm down, don’t fight!”
People are strange creatures. If two parties have a conflict, and someone intervenes, the person becomes unreasonable.
“You little bastard, you…” The beggar turned around, meeting Luo Ping’s gaze.
Standard blue work uniforms, big and burly men, their playful gazes made the beggar turn his head back, bend down, pick up the pancake, and naturally put it in his mouth.
“These pancakes are delicious.”
Watching the beggars finish the pancakes, Lin Yu stood up, patted his bottom, and left with Jialimu.
In the swaying truck, the group returned to Rhine Steel. It was late, so after settling Jialimu, Lin Yu washed up and went to sleep.
Jialimu, tired from a day’s travel, sat by the guesthouse window, watching the night outside.
Observing the factory.
