Star Rail, My Little Shop on the Train 13
Chapter 13, Natasha
Hu Ke, carrying a small backpack, dashed through the streets and alleys. Every now and then, he would look back to wait for Ye Yun, urging him to hurry up.
Half an hour later.
Hu Ke brought Ye Yun to a clinic that looked relatively decent. The “decent” part meant it was significantly better than the surrounding buildings. The lower city’s houses were mostly dilapidated, but this clinic at least appeared undamaged.
Hu Ke threw open the door.
“Old… Natasha sister! Someone’s looking for you!”
Inside, Natasha, who was explaining precautions to a patient, turned her head.
“Hu Ke, weren’t you going out to play? Why are you back so early today?”
Natasha walked towards Hu Ke, and only then noticed the small panda backpack on his back.
“This backpack…”
Seeing Natasha looking at his backpack, Hu Ke grinned, took it off, and pulled out a rainbow-colored candy, handing it to Natasha.
“Natasha sister, this is for you!”
Natasha looked at the candy in Hu Ke’s small hand.
“Hu Ke, where did you get these things?”
Hu Ke pointed to Ye Yun standing at the doorway.
“Look! Ye Yun gave them to me! By the way, he has something to talk to you about.”
Hearing this, Natasha popped the candy into Hu Ke’s mouth.
“Hu Ke, you eat it, I don’t want it.”
Natasha got up and walked towards Ye Yun and the strange Rios following behind him. When Natasha saw Rios, her pupils constricted slightly in surprise.
What kind of creature is this? Why is it emitting flames?
After a moment of daze, Natasha recovered.
“Hello, I’m Natasha. Thank you for the backpack and candy you gave Hu Ke. I hear you’re looking for me. What can I do for you?”
Ye Yun looked around.
“Hello, I’m Ye Yun. No need to thank me for the gifts for Hu Ke. She deserves them; it’s her payment for guiding me.”
Natasha smiled faintly. This “payment” was far too extravagant. As far as she knew, even in the upper city, Ye Yun’s gift to Hu Ke would be considered quite valuable.
“This payment is far too generous.”
Ye Yun shook his head.
“It’s fine, I have plenty of these small things. I’m here to talk to you about a business deal.”
Natasha looked around. Some passersby were paying attention to them.
“Come with me, I’ll take you somewhere quieter.”
Natasha went back inside, patting Hu Ke’s head as he sat on a small stool.
“Hu Ke, play here for a while and don’t run around, okay? Dinner time will be here soon.”
Hu Ke, with candy in his mouth, nodded happily.
“Okay~”
Then, Natasha led Ye Yun to her office on the second floor.
In the office.
Natasha poured Ye Yun a glass of plain water.
“The conditions are simple, please excuse it.”
Ye Yun shook his head, indicating it didn’t matter.
Natasha then asked.
“Mr. Ye Yun, what kind of business do you want to do with me?”
Ye Yun snapped his fingers, and several 100-jin (approximately 110 pounds) bags of rice appeared.
“Food! Endless amounts of food!”
Then, Ye Yun swiped his finger across a bag of rice, and the white rice grains flowed out.
Natasha was shocked by the quality of the rice. Such white rice!
“Mr. Ye Yun, how many Winter City Coins do you want to sell each bag of rice for?”
Ye Yun smiled.
“I don’t accept Winter City Coins. I’m not from Yaliluo IV. My companions and I just arrived on this planet today.”
Natasha was only slightly surprised to hear Ye Yun say he wasn’t from this planet. As someone who had received a good education from a young age, Natasha knew of the existence of the universe.
“Then do you accept credits? If it’s credits, you might have to wait; I need to find someone to get them.”
Ye Yun shook his head again.
“No, no, no. I only accept Star Crystals, these pink stones.”
Saying so, Ye Yun took out his phone and showed a picture of a Star Crystal.
Natasha took a look.
“We have these here. People usually use them to decorate their houses. Even for these, I’ll need some time to gather them.”
Ye Yun nodded in satisfaction. That’s fine.
“I’m not in a hurry.”
Natasha breathed a sigh of relief. She was afraid Ye Yun would give her a tight deadline.
“Then, what’s the price of this rice?”
Ye Yun took out his phone and showed Natasha the prices of several foods he had pre-recorded.
Natasha took the phone.
[100 jin of rice, price: 5 Star Coins
100 jin of flour, price: 5 Star Coins
100 jin of corn, price: 5 Star Coins
100 jin of sweet potatoes, price: 5 Star Coins
100 jin of choy sum, price: 5 Star Coins
100 jin of apples, price: 5 Star Coins]
Natasha looked at it, a little puzzled.
“What are Star Coins?”
Ye Yun explained.
“1 Star Crystal can be exchanged for 100 Star Coins.”
Natasha’s face was full of disbelief.
These small stones that everyone uses for decoration are actually so valuable?
At 5 Star Coins per 100 jin of rice, 1 Star Crystal can exchange for 2000 jin!
2000 jin of rice is enough for everyone in Pan Rock Town to eat for two or three days.
Natasha was completely unable to compose herself at this moment.
“Mr. Ye Yun, please wait a moment. I’ll immediately have someone gather Star Crystals, and I’ll come find you tomorrow. Is that alright?”
Ye Yun nodded, pointing to the bags of rice beside him.
“Keep these few bags of rice as a gift. They’re nothing valuable.”
Natasha smiled gratefully.
Then, Natasha rushed out of the office.
Ye Yun stayed in the office for a while and then left.
Downstairs in the clinic, Rios was talking seriously to Hu Ke. Hu Ke listened very attentively, occasionally letting out exclamations.
Ye Yun walked over to listen.
“Hu Ke, come find me tomorrow, and I’ll teach you some fighting techniques.”
Hu Ke nodded repeatedly.
“Okay! I’ll find you tomorrow, Master Rios!”
Ye Yun was stunned.
What… what happened? How long have I been gone? Hu Ke already took Rios as his master?
Ye Yun wasn’t worried about Rios’ teaching ability. Even Ray, one of the strongest elves in Rios’ world, had studied under him for a while.
Ye Yun coughed a couple of times, attracting the attention of the girl and the deer.
Ye Yun checked the time and patted Hu Ke’s head.
“Let’s go, let’s eat.”
Hu Ke said.
“Huh? Where are we going to eat? Aren’t we eating here? We’re having Emperor Crab tonight! I want Emperor Crab!”
Ye Yun shook his head. In the game, the description of Emperor Crab was that its shell was extremely hard, the meat was very little, and the taste was very sour.
“Emperor Crab isn’t delicious. I’ll take you to eat something really delicious.”
Then, Ye Yun took Hu Ke’s hand and, with Rios, headed out of the clinic.
Upper City.
Xing, Dan Heng, and March 7th had just come out of the Great Guardian’s office.
