Chapter 130, Ling: Who’s all in the Abyss?
Ji Zi shook her head.
“Star, you can’t calculate it that way. Maybe when you need help and call Aha, Aha might find it more entertaining to watch you get beaten up than to help you.”
Star, upon hearing this, instantly calmed down.
Hmmm, she hadn’t considered that aspect.
Thinking about it, Aha was full of uncertainty; it wasn’t certain whether he could even be called for help.
Aha got up, returned to the lottery shop, bought 100 numbers, then turned and left again.
After Aha left, everyone chatted for a while before resuming their individual tasks. Those who needed to work, went to work; those who needed to study, studied; those who needed to do research, did research.
Seeing Fu Xuan and Jing Yuan leave, Qing Que waved her hand.
“Anyone want to play Emperor’s Jade?” (帝垣琼玉, a card game)
Star immediately raised her hand, the first to sign up.
“Me!”
Hutao followed closely behind. The internet cafe business had people watching it, so basically nothing would go wrong; this business had even involved Ganyu’s participation.
Liyue people would definitely not dare to cause trouble in the internet cafe, and as for foreign forces? The Fatui, the most likely troublemakers, had already been dealt with—their two executives in Liyue had both been given a good thrashing.
Hutao believed that the Young Master and the Signora wouldn’t be stupid enough to cause trouble at her place.
Hutao’s guess was perfectly correct.
Because, right now, the Young Master and the Signora were in the internet cafe with a bunch of Fatui soldiers, surfing the net.
“Count me in!”
Yelan, seeing the Emperor’s Jade on the table, also became interested.
“Include me as well.”
Seeing that she had assembled a game simply by shouting, Qing Que suddenly felt that the Star Rail was a great place!
Since she had opened it, not only had she obtained a relaxed, iron rice bowl job, she could also play Emperor’s Jade anytime and anywhere.
Even on the ship in Luofu, assembling a card game required contacting people.
Here, however, she could simply shout out, and a bunch of people would come to play.
Liyue, Wang Sheng Tang back door, beside Ling’s RV.
Ling and Paimon had just returned from Ye Yun’s shop when they saw Aether sitting at the entrance of their RV, waiting for them.
Aether’s feet were bound by a chain forged from spatial authority, created by Asmodeus.
This chain was invisible to those without elemental power; its only purpose was to seal Aether’s power and prevent him from returning to the Abyss via a teleportation gate.
Aether was under house arrest around Wang Sheng Tang. If he left Wang Sheng Tang by more than 3000 meters, Asmodeus would sense it.
Asmodeus stated that they had finally caught this guy and couldn’t let him run away.
Ling put her hands on her hips, glaring at Aether.
“What are you doing here?”
Aether was completely speechless towards his wretched younger sister. What kind of sister personally leads people to the Abyss to catch her own brother?
“Nothing, just taking a stroll.”
Ling immediately rolled her eyes at Aether.
“Don’t lie to me! Just tell me what’s going on.”
Seeing this, Aether didn’t continue to beat around the bush.
“Why did your power recover so quickly? I needed to gather seven elemental powers to recover.”
Ling didn’t hide it.
“I bought a pill that can lift the seal from Ye Yun.”
Aether frowned.
“Ye Yun? Your friend?”
Paimon interjected.
“Yeah, Ye Yun is a good friend of mine and Ling’s. He has a shop with lots of amazing things!”
Upon hearing this, Aether said,
“Ling, I need the Unsealing Pill.”
Ling immediately refused.
“No way, you still want to go back to the Abyss? Who’s even in the Abyss that makes you yearn for it so much?”
Aether said,
“The people of the Abyss Order were once citizens of Khaenri’ah. I can’t ignore them.”
Ling still shook her head and refused.
“No, unless Asmodeus agrees.”
Aether said,
“Ling, I want to lead them to restore their nation, to build a home for us.”
Ling shook her head,
“I already know what the Abyss is from Zhong Li and the others. That kind of thing can never appear in Tivat. You should know how terrifying the Abyss is.”
Hearing this, scenes of the Khaenri’ah War flashed through Aether’s mind.
The Seven Gods destroyed their homeland, turning the people of Khaenri’ah into monsters.
“Only the Abyss can save Tivat. Back then, it was Asmodeus who, along with the Six Gods, destroyed Khaenri’ah.”
Just as Ling was about to correct the history for Aether, Asmodeus suddenly appeared.
Asmodeus looked coldly at Aether, pondering.
“So that’s it. No wonder.”
Asmodeus reached out and grabbed a ball of black mist from Aether’s chest.
“I wondered why this little punk suddenly defected to the Abyss. It was you who’d been manipulating him all along, you criminal!”
The black mist emitted a chilling, terrifying laugh.
“Hahahaha! Asmodeus! The Abyss will eventually swallow everything!”
Asmodeus coldly snorted and crushed it.
Paimon, looking puzzled, looked at the Aether lying on the ground, then at Ling and Asmodeus.
“What… what just happened?”
Asmodeus said,
“I felt something was wrong when I caught him yesterday. He was being manipulated. Ling, your brother is fine. Bring him to me when he wakes up; I have some questions for him.”
Ling nodded and helped Aether into the RV to rest.
Jing Yuan’s side:
After separating from Fu Xuan and the others, he found Jingliu with the scroll of swordsmanship.
Jingliu was currently letting the four little ones play by the shore of the Scaley Deep. The four small children were happily fishing by the bank.
Jingliu noticed Jing Yuan approaching and directly said,
“Give me the scroll, have your disciple come to me the day after tomorrow.”
Jing Yuan smiled slightly and handed the scroll to Jingliu.
“Thank you.”
Jingliu shook her head slightly.
“You’re welcome; it’s my duty.”
Jing Yuan asked,
“I heard from Yanqing that he sparred with you once before?”
Jingliu nodded slightly.
“Yes, we sparred once. You have good judgment; he’s a good prospect.”
Jing Yuan was about to praise himself, but Jingliu’s next words stopped him.
“It’s just that the person who taught him didn’t teach him well; he was taught wrong.”
Jing Yuan felt a pang of embarrassment. Um… this person is his master; he couldn’t refute her. If someone else said that, Jing Yuan would definitely teach them a lesson.
Jing Yuan looked around, suddenly remembering that Jingliu had been here yesterday.
Looking at the sword marks on the nearby rock wall, Jing Yuan secretly shook his head.
Not long after Jingliu left the Tianquan Palace yesterday, Jing Yuan received a report from his subordinates.
Several dragon masters had been assassinated by an unknown swordsman; they went from several dragon masters to several corpses; the scene was overly brutal.
Why mess with whoever you shouldn’t have? Why provoke this killing god?
If it had been himself or Dan Heng, they might have just given them a lesson.
But it was Jingliu who they ran into. Even if it were Blade, it would have been better; they wouldn’t have all been killed, at most they would have just been injured.
Then, Jing Yuan, Jingliu, and Rios observed their surroundings while chatting.
Inside the train:
Kafka brought Blade here.
Blade and Dan Heng had fought outside the train. After returning, neither of them spoke, both bearing large and small wounds.
However, from the looks of it, their relationship seemed to have eased somewhat. At least, they could stay in the same room, right?
