    Chapter 22, Durian, Oh Durian

Shier returned after washing her sickle, and saw Ye Yun and the others happily eating durian. Even Hook and Clara were called back; the two little ones sat on stools happily eating durian.

Shier smelled the pungent smell permeating the air and waved her hand in disgust.

“Ugh~ How can you eat such a stinky fruit?”

Clara broke her durian in half and gave a portion to Shier.

“Shier-jiejie (elder sister), you should try it too, this durian is really delicious.”

Shier looked at everyone; they didn’t seem to be having a hard time eating it? Besides, she had eaten things that smelled far worse. In this lower city, survival is the only goal.

Shier took the durian from Clara and took a bite.

“This fruit is actually so delicious! It smells so bad!”

One durian wasn’t much, and it was quickly devoured by everyone.

After finishing, Xing licked her fingers, still a little unsatisfied.

“Ye Yun, look, I had such bad luck opening boxes today, how about you treat me to a few durians?”

Hearing this, everyone except Dan Heng looked expectantly at Ye Yun.

Ye Yun immediately bought 10 durians; it only cost 1 Star Coin.

Shier looked at the durians, then at her freshly cleaned sickle, hesitating.

What to do! Should she use her sickle to cut the durian? But if she did, the sickle would get smelly again, and she would have to wash it again.

Finally, appetite triumphed over reason, and Shier swiftly sliced open a durian.

Xing, quick as a flash, grabbed the entire opened durian.

    “Hehe, thanks, Shier. Mmm~ Delicious!”

Seeing this, the others each grabbed a durian, lining up for Shier to open them.

    Shier mechanically swung her sickle.

Dozens of seconds later, everyone was enjoying delicious durian again.

Shier herself sat on a stool, hugging a durian and munching away, her face smeared with fruit pulp, looking like a little cat.

March 7th swallowed the durian in her mouth, catching a glimpse of an unopened trash can next to Xing.

“Xing, you still have an unopened trash can.”

Xing lifted her head from the durian, then opened the lid of the last trash can and continued devouring the durian.

A golden light flashed, the trash can disappeared, leaving behind a game cartridge.

Ye Yun walked over and picked it up, scanning it with the system.

【Special Item: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Hell Difficulty) Game Cartridge.
Clearing the game grants the skill: Mikiri Counter.
This cartridge can only be used to obtain the reward once.】

Ye Yun read it and clicked his tongue in wonder. It’s not incredibly powerful, but it’s still something; the Mikiri Counter skill is not only cool, but also strong. Though, saying it’s powerful is a stretch.

“Xing, this thing is pretty good. It would cost 3000 Star Coins in my shop.”

    “Congratulations, you broke even.”

Xing, upon hearing this, abruptly raised her head and scrambled over.

“Really?! This thing is that valuable?”

March 7th, Dan Heng, and Shier all looked over curiously.

    Ye Yun explained.

“This game cartridge, after clearing it, grants you a skill from the game, Mikiri Counter, which lets you deflect attacks without taking damage.”

“However, this skill has limitations; it only works against attacks from the Envoy level and below.”

Xing looked at the Sekiro game cartridge, not very interested. Compared to technical moves like Mikiri Counter, Xing preferred brute force and throwing bricks. Large swords like Heavenly Fire Judgment, swinging them directly at people, that’s her style.

Suddenly, a figure flashed through Xing’s mind.

“Hehe~ I know how to make a lot of money!”

    March 7th asked.

    “What did you think of?”

    Xing gave a mysterious smile.

    “I’m not telling you.”

With that, Xing ran out of the house with the game cartridge.

March 7th, speechless, shrugged and continued eating durian.

    Outside.

Xing held the game cartridge in one hand and her phone in the other. Xing’s screen showed her chatting with someone.

Xing: Silver Wolf! Silver Wolf! I have a game cartridge, do you want it?
Silver Wolf: A game cartridge? Ah Xing, I don’t think you have any games I’d like.

Xing: This one will satisfy you!
Silver Wolf: Oh? Interesting, tell me about it.
Xing: This game is very difficult!
Silver Wolf: That’s good, I like challenges.
Xing: This game is of high quality, the feel of the combat is excellent.
    Silver Wolf: And? That’s it?
Xing: Most importantly, after you beat it, you get a skill from the game!
Silver Wolf: Oh? That’s interesting, how much?
Xing: What’s between us, do we need money?
Silver Wolf: Don’t beat around the bush, just name your price, or I’m not giving it.
Xing: I don’t need credit points, do you have any Star Crystals? Just give me ten thousand or eight thousand.
Silver Wolf: Star Crystals? I have a few dozen, are you sure about this?
    Xing: This one!
Silver Wolf: Fine, I’ll open a teleportation gate.

Xing closed her phone, and the space in front of her twisted, and Silver Wolf’s projection appeared.

“Long time no see, Ah Xing.”

Xing chuckled, her eyes constantly glancing at Silver Wolf’s pocket.

“Long time no see, Silver Wolf. Here’s the game cartridge, where are the Star Crystals? Did you bring them?”

Silver Wolf snapped her fingers, the game cartridge in Xing’s hand disappeared, replaced by a small bag containing 40 Star Crystals.

“Here you go, I’ll go now, if you need anything, just message me.”

With that, Silver Wolf’s projection instantly disappeared.

Xing lightly tossed the Star Crystals in her hand, very satisfied.

Hehe, as expected of me, easily earned 40 Star Crystals, that’s another 4 Trash Can Scratch-offs, hehe~

Then, Xing returned to the clinic.

Xing didn’t buy the Trash Can Scratch-offs immediately, she planned to save them, waiting until she had 10,000 Star Coins for a ten-pull.

After a short rest, March 7th, Xing, and Dan Heng left the clinic to search for clues about the Star Core.

March 7th wanted Ye Yun to help, but he refused. He planned to return to the train later to take Hook and Clara back for some fun.

    Star Rail, Observation Car.

    “Jizi! Welt! We’re here!”

Lumine and Paimon emerged from a Teleportation Gate, Paimon happily greeting Jizi and Welt.

Jizi, seeing it was Lumine and Paimon, smiled welcomingly.

“Paimon, Lumine, why are you here?”

    Paimon said.

“Hehe, we’re here to buy things from Ye Yun~ We found a lot more Primogems after we went back yesterday!”

    Jizi understood.

“Then you’ve come at a bad time, Ye Yun isn’t on the train, currently.”

Paimon and Lumine were a little disappointed.

    “Ah? Why?”

    Jizi smiled.

“But if you want to buy things, you don’t have to wait for him, you can go to the little bar and buy directly, just insert coins into the touchscreen.”
