Chapter 39: Silver Wolf: My Vibrant!

Silver Wolf summoned a virtual keyboard, tapped a few times, and an Aether teleportation gate appeared, dropping 100 Star Crystals from within.

She collected them all and went to the small bar to exchange them.

Silver Wolf had witnessed Ye Yun using the exchange scale, so she naturally knew how to use it as well.

After exchanging the Star Crystals for Star Coins, she handed them all to Ye Yun.

“Here’s your money, where’s the item?”

Ye Yun smiled, took out the Black Myth: Wukong game cartridge and handed it to Silver Wolf.

Silver Wolf was very satisfied after receiving it, waved goodbye to Ye Yun, and used Aether editing to teleport herself away.

After Silver Wolf left, Ye Yun opened his task panel.

    【Current Tasks:
Task 1: Accumulatively receive 20 different customers.
    Progress: 14/20
    Reward: Lottery Machine x1
Task 2: Accumulate a turnover of 10 million Star Coins from now on.
    Progress: 30,000+/10,000,000
    Reward: Commander-level peak strength x1】

Task 1, receiving 20 different customers, was more than halfway done.

Considering the situation in Belobog, Broniya, Gepard, Pela, and Hila will likely become his customers.

That leaves only four more people; no problem.

After closing the task panel, Ye Yun glanced at Wendy, who was happily drinking. Ye Yun sat down beside him.

    “Just drinking? No appetizers?”

Wendy put down the bottle and swallowed the liquor.

“Appetizers? I don’t have… Oh right! I have Star Coins!”

Wendy had habitually said he had no money, but suddenly remembered he actually did! He had 12,000 left after buying the alcohol!

“Come on! Get me a plate!”

Wendy generously slapped a 100 Star Coin bill on the table.

Ye Yun collected it, bought a few appetizers totaling 100 Star Coins from the store, and placed them on Wendy’s table.

“Here’s your food, but what about my drink? Now that you’re rich, you won’t even treat me to a bottle?”

Wendy readily produced a dozen different bottles of alcohol and placed them on the table.

“Choose whatever you like, drink freely!”

Ye Yun’s eyes lit up. He picked up a porcelain bottle.

“I didn’t expect there to be Feitian Moutai!” (Feitian Moutai is a famous and highly sought-after Chinese baijiu – a strong distilled spirit.)

Wendy held a piece of meat braised with a spirit deer, a type of spirit beast, in one hand and a bottle of beer in the other.

“What? This liquor is very good?”

    Ye Yun smiled.

“Of course it’s good. This baijiu is exceptionally good.”

Saying this, Ye Yun went into the small bar, brought back two sets of small baijiu glasses, and poured a glass for himself and Wendy.

Seeing Ye Yun using such small glasses, Wendy looked at him with disdain.

“Ye Yun, let me tell you, when men drink, we use big glasses to enjoy it!”

After speaking, Wendy grabbed the Feitian Moutai and poured the remaining baijiu into a beer glass.

After pouring, he looked at it.

“Tch~ Not even a full cup? This liquor is too little!”

Seeing Wendy switch to a larger glass, a mysterious smile appeared on Ye Yun’s lips.

    Wendy raised his glass.

    “Come on! Ye Yun, cheers!”

Ye Yun smiled and clinked his small glass with Wendy’s.

Wendy gulped down the Moutai in one go.

As soon as he put down the glass, Wendy felt a raging fire burning in his chest.

    “Wow! This liquor is strong!”

Wendy patted his head several times, feeling dizzy.

Ye Yun took a sip of the Moutai and chuckled.

“You’re the one who changed the glass.”

Wendy forced himself to calm down.

“Drinking should be with a big glass!”

As soon as Wendy finished speaking, his body went limp, and he slid under the table.

After a while, steady breathing sounds emanated from beneath.

    Ye Yun clicked his tongue.

    “Tsk tsk, serves you right.”

Then, Ye Yun slowly enjoyed his small drink with the appetizers.

Inside the Star Core Hunter base.

The moment Silver Wolf teleported back, she kicked off her shoes and rushed into her room.

In the living room, Kafka was sitting on the sofa watching TV.

“Darling, why are you in such a hurry?”

Silver Wolf ignored Kafka and rushed into her room.

Kafka, intrigued, got up and walked towards Silver Wolf’s room.

    At the door, she saw…

Silver Wolf was excitedly inserting the Black Myth: Wukong game cartridge into her game console.

She was muttering to herself while operating it.

    “Hehe~ New game~ Here I come!”

Silver Wolf took out the Sekiro game cartridge.

“Sekiro! The time we spent together made me very happy, but but!!! Now, it’s time for us to say goodbye!”

“Someday in the future, perhaps we will share another happy time.”

“But now! You have to go! My new friend, Black Myth: Wukong, has arrived! Farewell!”

After saying this, Silver Wolf placed the Sekiro game cartridge on a nearby bookshelf.

Immediately, she inserted the Black Myth: Wukong game cartridge.

“Hehe! Immobilization Spell! Once I complete the game, I can learn it! Hahahahaha! I will finally become the invincible Silver Wolf!”

At the door, Kafka raised an eyebrow upon hearing Silver Wolf’s last words.

“Immobilization Spell? You can learn it by completing the game? Darling, I don’t quite understand.”

Kafka’s sudden interruption startled Silver Wolf, who turned around.

“Humph! That’s right, as long as I complete this game, I can learn a new skill.
    Come on! Kafka! Attack me!”

    Kafka was a little puzzled.

“Darling, are you sure you want me to attack you? Are you running a fever? Should I get you some medicine?”

Silver Wolf stood up, hands on her hips, looking very confident.

“I don’t have a fever, attack me! Let you see my newly learned skill!”

    Kafka then realized.

A new skill? Interesting, it seemed she wouldn’t hurt Silver Wolf.

Feeling reassured, Kafka suddenly slashed at Silver Wolf.

    “Ding~”

A crisp sound of metal clashing echoed.

Silver Wolf easily blocked Kafka’s attack with a small knife.

Kafka, intrigued, looked at Silver Wolf.

“Darling, this skill is quite interesting.”

    Silver Wolf hummed.

“Of course! This skill is called Vibrant Blade, it can deflect physical attacks from enemies below Commander level. A successful deflection doubles the damage.
    How about that? Amazing, right!”

    Kafka nodded.

    “Indeed, amazing.”

Then, Kafka looked at the Sekiro game cartridge that Silver Wolf had placed on the bookshelf.

“Darling, where did you get this game cartridge?”

Silver Wolf put away the small knife, picked up the controller, and sat down to happily play Black Myth: Wukong.

“A-Xing sold it to me. This one I bought myself.”

At this point, Silver Wolf suddenly remembered Ye Yun.

“By the way, there’s a problem with Alioth’s script, an extra person named Ye Yun appeared on the train, he opened a shop on the train, I bought this game cartridge from him, remember to ask Alioth about this when you have time.”
