Star Rail, My Little Shop on the Train 47
Chapter 47, Black Tower: Yo ho! New goodies!
Ye Yun and Zhong Li were chatting when Ye Yun’s phone suddenly rang.
“Ding-ling-ling~Ding-ling-ling~”
Ye Yun took out his phone and saw that it was “Black Tower” calling.
Ye Yun answered, and Black Tower’s voice came through.
“Send me your location, I’m coming to buy something.”
With that, Black Tower hung up.
Ye Yun looked at the call-ended screen on his phone and raised an eyebrow.
This Black Tower really does things her own way, but hey, who’s to say anything when someone’s a genius? Geniuses are always unconventional, aren’t they?
Ye Yun sent Black Tower his location, then continued chatting with Zhong Li.
Zhong Li put down his teacup.
“If you have something to do, I’ll come back tomorrow.”
Ye Yun put down his phone.
“It’s fine, a customer will be here soon, no rush. By the way, where were we in our conversation?”
Zhong Li said.
“We were discussing, benevolent governance.”
Hearing Zhong Li’s reminder, Ye Yun remembered.
“Oh, right, benevolent governance.”
Zhong Li asked.
“What are your thoughts on benevolent governance?”
Upon hearing this, Ye Yun carefully recalled the world he came from.
“Benevolent governance does have its advantages. It allows humanity to develop freely, without any constraints.
However, this can also lead to people losing themselves and forgetting their original intentions. You must have seen such people.”
Zhong Li nodded.
“I have. Tivat once had such a kingdom, but ultimately, they brought about a great catastrophe to Tivat.”
Ye Yun nodded and continued.
“That’s right. In my opinion, benevolent governance is acceptable, but it cannot be entirely benevolent. If humanity is allowed to develop freely, it will most likely lead to immeasurable disasters. Human nature is inherently greedy.
In my hometown, there were two world-altering disasters. Each disaster claimed tens of millions of lives.”
“It wasn’t until humanity developed weapons capable of bringing everyone to their end that the world became somewhat stable.
And by somewhat, I mean only the countries possessing these weapons.
Those without such weapons were still fish on a chopping block, at the mercy of others.
In your Tivat, a god should hold a similar position to a nation, wouldn’t you say?”
After listening to Ye Yun’s words, Zhong Li had already made up his mind.
It seems his previous assumptions were indeed incorrect.
By relinquishing his godhood, Liyue might not face any immediate problems for a century, since the last two generations of the Liyue Qixing were selected by him and other Immortals.
But what about the generation after that? And the one after that? Who can guarantee that future Liyue Qixing will not harbor malicious intent?
Ye Yun took a sip of tea.
“There’s a saying: Don’t put your hopes in the hands of others.”
Zhong Li nodded in agreement.
“I understand. Thank you for your explanation.”
Ye Yun smiled.
“No problem, no problem. I’m bored sitting in this shop alone, it’s nice to have you here to chat with.”
At that moment, the shop door opened, and Ye Yun looked up.
He saw Black Tower enter, accompanied by a girl with pink hair.
“Shopping! Shopping! Shopping! Shopping!”
Black Tower rushed to the small bar, plopping down on a stool, one hand controlling the touchscreen, the other holding a Star Crystal, placing it on the exchange scale.
Black Tower started shopping on her own, leaving the pink-haired girl to the side.
Ji Zi immediately recognized the pink-haired girl, the stationmaster of Black Tower’s space station, Asta.
“Asta.”
Asta looked at Ji Zi and smiled slightly.
“Long time no see, Ji Zi.”
Ji Zi smiled and nodded.
“Are you here to shop too?”
Asta nodded.
“Yes, Ms. Black Tower said that you can buy anything I want here, so I came.”
Ji Zi said.
“That’s no lie.”
At this time, Ye Yun walked over.
“Ji Zi, we have a new friend here?”
Asta looked at Ye Yun.
“Hello, my name is Asta.”
Ye Yun smiled politely.
“Hello, I’m Ye Yun, the owner of this shop.”
Ji Zi said from the side.
“Asta, if you want to buy something, you can talk to Ye Yun, let him give you some recommendations.”
Hearing this, Asta thought for a moment and asked.
“Do you sell warships here?”
Asta looked at Ye Yun with anticipation.
Ye Yun burst into laughter.
“Yes, of course, come over here, let’s take a look at the details.”
And so, Ye Yun led Asta to sit next to Black Tower at the small bar.
Ye Yun entered “warship” on the touchscreen, and the next second, the screen changed, displaying information on dozens of different warships. The page number at the bottom read 99+.
“Here, take a look.”
Asta browsed the warship information, looking at them one by one.
The more she looked, the more excited Asta became; she wanted to buy every single one.
Things like spirit boats from Xianxia worlds, doomsday warships from post-apocalyptic worlds, fairytale-style warships from fairytale worlds, and even star destroyers from science fiction worlds.
As a warship collecting maniac, Asta couldn’t stop, wishing she could buy them all.
Seeing that Asta wouldn’t be able to make a decision for a while, Ye Yun turned to Black Tower.
“What are you buying this time? How’s the research on that Qilin’s Blood you bought last time going?”
Black Tower glanced at Ye Yun.
“Still researching. The components in that drop of blood are very complex, and we haven’t fully deciphered them yet.”
Then, Black Tower changed the subject.
“However, I took some of it out and diluted it. The effect is quite good; it can improve the function of various organs in the human body and extend the lifespan of a normal person by about 100 years.”
Ye Yun wasn’t surprised; it was Qilin’s blood, a highly restorative substance.
“What are you looking for now?”
Black Tower’s fingers kept scrolling through the screen, browsing the items at a glance.
“I don’t know, I’ll buy whatever looks interesting.”
Ye Yun crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow.
“Then take your time. You know the process, I’ll go attend to Asta.”
Black Tower waved dismissively.
“Go, go, don’t disturb my shopping.”
At this time, Zhong Li suddenly walked over.
“Madam, I overheard you mentioning you’ve developed something that can extend lifespan?”
Black Tower turned her head and scanned Zhong Li up and down, her eyes lighting up.
“Yo ho, you’re interesting! Let me have a look.”
Black Tower hopped off the stool and circled Zhong Li.
Interesting, interesting. A long-lived being, someone who has lived for at least a few thousand years, in the flesh!
“You want that potion?”
Zhong Li nodded.
“Yes, what is the price?”
A mischievous smile appeared on Black Tower’s lips.
“No money needed. Talking about money spoils the mood. How about cooperating with me on some research?”
Black Tower looked at Zhong Li with a mischievous grin. Ye Yun looked on, feeling like Black Tower was acting like a human trafficker.
Ye Yun interjected.
“Black Tower, Zhong Li is my customer. Don’t get any ideas about him.”
Seeing Ye Yun ruining her fun, Black Tower glared at him.
“Cut it out! I’m not the kind of person who forces others. I’m just asking!”
Black Tower looked at Zhong Li, settling for second best.
“Give me some of your hair, blood, and skin tissue, and I’ll give you 10 bottles of the potion. How about that?”
Upon hearing this, Zhong Li immediately agreed.
This deal seemed fair to him.
“The contract is sealed. Those who break their word shall face the punishment of Shi Yan.”
