    Chapter 63, Hutao: Yaho!

    January 21, 2025

    Chapter 63, Hutao: Yaho~!

Hutao sped through the skies above Liyue Harbor on her flying motorcycle.

    “Woohoo!!!”

This scene happened to be witnessed by Ningguang, who had come out to get some fresh air on the Yujing Terrace.

    “What’s that?”

Keqing, who was working nearby, asked.

    “What’s wrong, Ningguang?”

    Ningguang pointed out the window.

“The Hutao, the Hall Master, got a new gadget. Do you want to take a look?”

    Keqing responded.

    “Hall Master? What’s she doing?”

Keqing slowly rose and went to the window. She saw Hutao speeding through the air above Liyue Harbor on her flying motorcycle, heading towards Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

“What is this? What is this thing? How can it allow the Hall Master to fly in the sky? Could it be a treasure from the Immortals?”

Ningguang put down her pipe and stood up straight.

“Why don’t we just ask? Baiwen.”

Baiwen, who was always at her beck and call, bowed slightly.

“I’ll arrange it immediately, Madam Ningguang.”

Hutao executed a drift and landed in her own courtyard.

After the motorcycle came to a stop, Hutao turned off the engine and jumped off.

Just as she was about to go back to her room, she saw Zhongli walking towards her, carrying a laptop.

“Keqing, you’re back so early today?”

    Zhongli nodded slightly.

“Yes, I bought something. Would the Hall Master like to take a look?”

Hutao quickly approached Zhongli, leaving a trail of fire butterflies that dissipated in the wind in her wake.

Hutao poked the laptop in Zhongli’s hands.

“What is this? Did you buy it from Ye Yun?”

    Zhongli shook his head slightly.

“No, this was a gift from Mr. Walter. It’s called a laptop, and it has many amazing functions.”

Seeing Hutao’s interest in the laptop, Zhongli asked,

“Hall Master, would you like to take a look together?”

    Hutao, overjoyed, readily agreed.

“Hehe, that’s exactly what I was hoping for.”

With that, Hutao took the laptop from Zhongli and eagerly ran into the house.

Zhongli smiled slightly and followed Hutao’s footsteps.

In the blink of an eye, they were back in Zhongli’s room.

Zhongli’s room was elegantly decorated, filled with various antiques and curios, with several calligraphy and paintings hanging on the walls.

Hutao sat at the table and opened the laptop.

“Keqing, Keqing, come quickly and teach me how to use this.”

Zhongli came and sat beside Hutao, guiding her to enter the unlock password and open the media player, which had several downloaded TV series and movies.

Hutao browsed through the options and chose a horror film to watch.

The film began to play, and soon, terrifying sounds filled the room.

Not long after, Ningguang and Keqing, along with a team of Qixing soldiers, arrived at the entrance of Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

The attendant at the door quickly stood up to greet them.

“This humble servant greets Madam Tianquan and Miss Yuheng.”

    Ningguang nodded slightly.

    “Is your Hall Master home?”

The attendant thought for a moment. She had been on duty at the gate and hadn’t seen the Hall Master leave today.

Unknown to the attendant, Hutao no longer needed to use the main gate to go out.

Of course, with a flying motorcycle, who would still use the main gate? How outdated! Flying is way cooler!

“She’s home. Please come in, have a seat, and have some tea. I’ll go call her for you.”

The attendant got up and went into the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor.

Soon, the attendant arrived at Hutao’s courtyard.

As she entered the courtyard, a ghostly scream suddenly came from inside.

The attendant wasn’t surprised; after all, the Hall Master often brought back some “guests.”

The attendant was used to this.

The attendant followed the direction of the sound, seeming to come from Mr. Zhongli’s room.

So, the attendant went towards Zhongli’s room and quickly arrived at the door.

Listening to the ghostly sounds from inside, the attendant pondered.

At this time, Mr. Zhongli shouldn’t be home, should he? Based on past experience, Zhongli should be listening to music.

Moreover, today was the day that Yun Jin was performing, and Mr. Zhongli shouldn’t miss it.

Thinking of this, the attendant directly pushed open the door.

Upon opening the door, she saw Mr. Zhongli was actually at home, and the Hall Master was there too.

The two were sitting at the table, a glowing object in front of them, both engrossed in watching it.

The sound of the attendant opening the door caught Zhongli and Hutao’s attention.

Seeing it was the attendant, Hutao smiled and asked,

“Little sister, what is it? Is there a client?”

    The attendant shook her head.

“No, Madam Tianquan and Miss Yuheng are at the gate and say they have something to see you.”

    Hutao was puzzled.

Why would Madam Tianquan and Miss Yuheng be looking for her? They wouldn’t be here to give Wangsheng Funeral Parlor a huge order, would they?!

The current Madam Tianquan is Liyue’s richest person, extremely wealthy.

“Alright, alright, I’ll be right there.”

Hutao went to the laptop and paused the video.

“Keqing, wait for me to come back and watch together! I’ll be right back.”

With that, Hutao rushed out the door.

Zhongli watched Hutao leave, already guessing Ningguang and Keqing’s intentions.

They just wanted to inquire about Hutao’s flying motorcycle.

Zhongli wouldn’t stop them; he wished Ningguang and Keqing would get acquainted with Ye Yun and the others through Hutao.

This would make things much easier for him, sparing him from having to guide them.

Judging by the situation, it seemed Hutao wouldn’t be back for a while.

So, Zhongli took out his tea set and brewed himself a pot of tea.

    As for Hutao…

She arrived at the reception room.

“Oh my, oh my~I wonder why the birds in the courtyard have been chirping all day; it turns out we have honored guests.

Madam Tianquan, Miss Yuheng, good afternoon! Have you eaten?

    If not, let’s eat together.”

Ningguang smiled slightly in response to Hutao’s welcoming smile.

“Hall Master Hutao, it’s been a while. We came to ask you something.”

Hutao instructed the attendant to pour three cups of tea and sat down.

“Certainly, certainly. As long as this Hall Master knows, I will tell you.”

    Ningguang paused and asked,

“Hall Master Hutao, this afternoon I saw someone flying above Liyue Harbor on some kind of magical artifact. Do you recognize that person?”

    Hutao immediately said,

“That was me, and that thing isn’t a magical artifact; it’s something I bought from a friend.”

    Ningguang continued,

“Oh? A friend? To be honest, I’m very interested in what you were riding. Could you please ask your friend if they have more?”

Ningguang was thinking of buying one and having Liyue Harbor’s artisans study it.

If they could replicate it, she would make a fortune.

    Hutao pondered.

“Emmmmm, they probably have more. How about this, I’m going to see my friend tomorrow, would you like to come with me?”

Ningguang thought for a moment and agreed.

“Okay, do you mind if I bring a couple of friends?”

Although Hutao is a native of Liyue and loyal to Liyue.

But, one should always be cautious, shouldn’t they?

    Hutao didn’t mind.

She wanted to get a few more customers for Ye Yun. March 7th had told her in the morning that she could refer friends to Ye Yun’s business.

Happy New Year in advance to everyone!

Wishing everyone a prosperous new year, blooming romances, good health, and everything going smoothly.

Today also happens to be my birthday, and it’s New Year’s Eve; that’s so coincidental.

I’ll be giving out some red envelopes later, only 100, once they’re gone they’re gone, at the end of this chapter.

    Everyone! Happy New Year!
