The next day arrived.

Ye Yun, along with the four younger ones, woke up early, had breakfast, and then went to the Black Tower space station.

This time, Ye Yun planned to ask Black Tower for help in setting up a small laboratory for Clara in the large, flat storage room on the second floor of the train.

The four youngsters were visiting the space station for the first time and were quickly captivated by its technological aesthetic.

“Wow～This is so cool! Look at that tiny thing, it’s flying!” Hu Ke pointed at a smart robot, curious.

“Klee doesn’t know, does Bailu know?”

Bailu stroked her chin thoughtfully. This little gadget felt similar to the Ingenious Birds from the Xianzhou.

“This should be used for transporting things, right? We have something in Luofu that’s about this size and also flies, called an Ingenious Bird, it’s used to deliver things.”

Ye Yun looked around. This was Black Tower’s laboratory, next to the Simulated Universe.

To be honest, Ye Yun wasn’t interested in the Simulated Universe. It was something Black Tower and a few others, like Ruan Mei, created to explore the mysteries of the Star Gods.

Lately, Xing hadn’t been able to come back, so the project hadn’t progressed much.

At this moment, the laboratory door opened.

Black Tower and Aesperia walked in.

“It’s you? I was wondering who it was. I just received a laboratory alert saying someone had broken in,” Black Tower said, looking at Ye Yun with a bit of surprise.

Ye Yun smiled.

“Good morning, Black Tower, Aesperia.”

Aesperia smiled back at Ye Yun.

“Good morning, Mr. Ye Yun. I’ll be able to gather enough Star Crystals soon. Is that warship still available?”

Ye Yun nodded.

“Yes, you’ll need to go to the store to buy it then.”

Aesperia agreed.

“Okay.”

Black Tower looked at Ye Yun.

“What are you doing at my space station?”

Ye Yun was about to answer when Bailu suddenly tugged at his sleeve.

“Ye Yun, we want to go out and play.”

Ye Yun considered this, then looked at Aesperia.

“Aesperia, I have something to do. Are you free? Could you take these four little ones around the space station?”

Aesperia smiled and agreed.

“Sure, leave it to me.”

Aesperia then beckoned to the four youngsters.

“Little ones, come with me, sister will take you out to play.”

The four youngsters happily ran towards Aesperia and stood obediently beside her.

After Aesperia left with the four children, Ye Yun turned to Black Tower.

“I want to ask you for a favor.”

Black Tower folded her arms, amused. Ye Yun actually needed her help.

“Go ahead.”

Ye Yun said,

“I want you to help me set up a simple laboratory. I have a little girl who’s learning about mechanics, and I want to get her a lab.”

Black Tower was speechless.

“Is that it? How could you have the nerve to ask me for something so small?”

Ye Yun smiled.

“Well, you’re a professional, aren’t you? I can buy the equipment, but I don’t understand it. I’m a complete layman. I have to ask an expert like you, don’t I?”

Black Tower considered this.

“That’s a fair point. It’s for mechanics, right?”

Ye Yun nodded.

After Black Tower confirmed, she snapped her fingers, and a virtual screen appeared in front of her. She reached out and tapped on it continuously; the images changed rapidly.

Finally, it became a parts list.

Black Tower grabbed it, and the list on the screen began to fold.

Then she threw it to Ye Yun. Ye Yun’s phone lit up; an email was sent to his phone.

“I won’t go there myself, I don’t have time. This has the most suitable equipment for mechanical beginners. Go buy it yourself.

Anything else? If not, you can leave. I need to use the lab.”

Ye Yun opened his phone and looked at the list.

“Okay, thanks. I won’t bother you then. I’ll come get Klee and the others later.”

Ye Yun said goodbye to Black Tower and returned to the train.

Back in the train, Ye Yun went directly to ask Himeko for the key to the second-floor storage room.

Himeko, curious, followed him.

The two entered the storage room; things were in complete disarray; many discarded items were inside.

“Ye Yun, what are you doing here?”

Ye Yun took out his phone and opened the message Black Tower had sent him.

“I asked Black Tower for a list of equipment suitable for mechanical beginners. I’m planning to make a laboratory for Clara. Just reading books and not experimenting won’t work, right?”

Himeko was surprised. Although she knew Ye Yun was very fond of Clara, she didn’t expect him to be this indulgent – getting Clara her own lab!

Himeko looked at the list of equipment. These weren’t cheap; they were all top-of-the-line equipment currently on the market.

Himeko suspected, was this really equipment suitable for beginners?

Many people in the space station didn’t have such good equipment!

Himeko thought for a moment. Ye Yun had asked Black Tower, so perhaps Black Tower had used her own equipment from when she was a “beginner” as an example for Ye Yun’s list.

Ye Yun opened the store and directly purchased the equipment one by one according to the list.

This equipment might be rare in the Honkai: Star Rail universe, but it was readily available in the system store.

A total of 13 pieces of equipment cost less than 10,000 Star Coins.

Ye Yun carefully placed each piece of equipment, then called Venti from the first floor to use a gust of wind to move all the junk out of the way.

Half an hour later, a truly luxurious laboratory was completed. Himeko looked at the laboratory in front of her. The equipment here was amazing!

It was far better than her own lab on the train. For example, the machine tool in front of her was much better than Himeko’s.

Himeko decided to do her experiments here from now on. The equipment here was truly comprehensive.

Ye Yun looked at the newly completed laboratory, clapped his hands, and felt a sense of accomplishment.

“Done. I’ll go get Clara.”

Ye Yun went to the shop and found Clara in the library, working on a Gundam model.

“Clara, grab your textbooks and model; I’m taking you somewhere good.”

Clara put away her textbooks and model and stood obediently beside Ye Yun.

“Ye Yun, where are you taking Clara?”

Ye Yun smiled indulgently, ruffling Clara’s hair.

“I won’t tell you yet. You’ll see when we get there. Let’s go, it’s very close.”

Clara, even more curious, quickly followed Ye Yun.

They arrived on the second floor.

Clara’s eyes widened in surprise at the sight of the laboratory.

“Is this a lab?”

Ye Yun smiled.

“Yes, this is a laboratory, and it’s Clara’s from now on. What do you think? Do you like it?”

Clara was incredulous. Such a good laboratory was hers?

“Clara…”

Before Clara could refuse, Ye Yun made the decision.

“Okay, that’s settled. It’s not entirely free, though. When Clara finishes your model, you’ll build one for your Ye Yun brother, how about that?”

Seeing this, Clara could only agree.

“Okay, Clara will work hard!”

Ye Yun gently patted Clara on the back of her head.

“Go on, go learn how to use the equipment from your Sister Himeko.”

Himeko smiled slightly and beckoned to Clara.

“Come on, Clara, I’ll show you around here.”

Clara followed behind Himeko, carefully noting the purpose and operation of each piece of equipment. To make sure she didn’t forget, Clara listened and took notes so she wouldn’t make mistakes in usage and safety precautions.
