Chapter 25: Speed 25 The Echoing Sea! The Divine Dragon, Aqua Bazza!

“Dong—————————————”

An iron hammer plunged into the sea, creating a muffled thud on the ground. A brilliant light flared, and the small iron hammer transformed into a warrior, then, under Duelist You Qing’s command, became the weapon of a Magical Striker.

“Entering Battle Phase!” You Qing shouted. “The Magical Striker’s effect activates; this card can attack directly!”

“Simultaneously, the Armor Destruction Warrior’s effect is triggered. When an equipped monster inflicts battle damage to the opponent, destroy one card on the field!”

“I will crush your Field Spell Card—Legendary City Atlantis!!”

“Peng！！！！！！！”

Under the pulsating light, the Magical Striker’s spear transformed into a great double-headed hammer. It gracefully soared into the air, smashing down hard on the enemy.

The powerful impact created a whirlpool in the surrounding seawater. A sound like shattering glass echoed, and the dreamlike underwater city dissolved like a bubble in a mirror, scattering into streams of light.

This combo caught the opponent off guard.

The onlookers were also surprised that You Qing had used two seemingly weak monsters to destroy Dan Ke’er’s core card.

“Wait…something feels wrong.”

“This…could this be a major upset?”

“Heh! How strong can a greenhorn be? He’s showing his true colors after a few turns!”

Amidst the murmurs of the crowd, You Qing set a face-down card and ended his turn.

Dan Ke’er Jin, whose face was slightly reddened, frowned and sneered:

“Good effect, but the attack power is still too low!”

“Ultimately, a small fry is still a small fry!”

“My turn! Draw!”

“Using Deep Sea Warrior as a tribute, I perform an Advanced Summon—Divine Dragon Aqua Bazza!!”

“Hua———————————————”

The trident-wielding warrior sacrificed himself, a water spout erupted from the ground, and a shimmering sea dragon emerged!

It resembled a giant serpent, raising its upper body from the scattered waves, its gills and fins vibrating rapidly, producing a chilling, high-pitched scraping sound!!

You Qing’s eyes narrowed.

Another five-star Water Attribute monster?

It seems this guy’s deck heavily relies on that Field Spell Card—Legendary City Atlantis.

Perhaps he doesn’t even have many monsters below four stars in his deck.

“It’s not over yet!” Dan Ke’er Jin revealed his face-down card from last turn, laughing triumphantly. “Continuous Trap Card activation—The Call of the Undead!”

“Special Summon the Deep Sea Warrior, just now used as a tribute, from the Graveyard!”

“Heh! Your monster only has 600 ATK, but my two monsters have around 2000 ATK~”

“Your laughable trick is just a sideshow, and now, the true terror of the deep sea is about to be unleashed!!”

“Entering Battle Phase! Deep Sea Warrior, attack the Magical Striker!!”

“Shua——————————————”

A frigid trident, accompanied by a spiraling current of water, stabbed towards You Qing’s monster. The Magical Striker raised its hammer to defend, the sound of a card bursting echoed, countless water splashes scattered, but the attacked Magical Striker didn’t fall; only the monster transformed into an Equip Card disappeared from the field.

“This is the Ally Monster’s ability,” You Qing said, “When the equipped monster is destroyed by battle, the Ally Monster that became the Equip Card can be destroyed instead.”

“However~ battle damage still needs to be taken~ rookie!” Dan Ke’er Jin laughed smugly, but after a few seconds, seeing You Qing’s LP remained unchanged, his face suddenly changed. “Wait?! Why?!”

Golden light re-gathered in the Magical Striker’s hand, reforming into its original spear.

You Qing explained: “The Magical Striker’s third ability: Battle damage inflicted on the controller becomes zero. Therefore, no matter how high your monster’s ATK is, as long as the target is the Magical Striker, I won’t receive any damage!”

Dan Ke’er Jin was annoyed.

This mere three-star small fry was so troublesome?

“But I still have another monster on the field!” Dan Ke’er Jin roared. “This time, your monster is finished! Divine Dragon Aqua Bazza! Attack the Magical Striker!!”

“Hong————————————————”

The silver-white sea beast, half serpent, half dragon, slammed its tail on the ground, creating a huge wave that engulfed the Magical Striker.

After burying the enemy in the sea, it raised its head and let out piercing cries. The Deep Sea Warrior was sacrificed again, and the previously destroyed Field Spell Card returned to the top of the deck.

“Main Phase Two!” Dan Ke’er Jin played a Spell Card. “Activate Divine Dragon Aqua Bazza’s effect: Release another Water Attribute monster on my field and return a Continuous Spell or Field Spell Card from the Graveyard to the top of the deck.”

“Next, activate—Temporary Truce!!”

“Both Duelists draw one card from their decks. Until the end of the opponent’s next turn, all damage taken by both sides becomes zero!!”

“Then, reactivate the Field Spell Card—Legendary City Atlantis!!!”

The ancient underwater city regenerated, mysterious and surging waves constantly echoing around the two duelists.

At this point, Dan Ke’er Jin finally became serious. He discovered that this newcomer wasn’t as weak as he’d imagined:

“Heh, you probably have cards to recover monsters.”

“If that two-card combo forms again, you can destroy my Field Spell Card again.”

“So, the meaning of this Temporary Truce isn’t just to draw the recovered Legendary City Atlantis, it’s also to prevent your tactic!”

“As long as your direct attack doesn’t damage me, that Ally Monster’s effect can’t be triggered!!”

“Kid, your turn!!”

Dan Ke’er Jin’s actions were flawless, a very stable play.

But this also revealed information to You Qing: the guy was likely preparing a big move.

Up to this point in the duel, You Qing could determine that the opponent’s core tactic centered on the Field Spell Card. As long as the “sea” wasn’t allowed to exist for long, the battle was already more than half won!

You Qing glanced at his hand, organized his thoughts, and began his second counter-offensive.
