Chapter 65: Author’s Note on Serialization

After finishing the updates for my old book, I reached this point, so I’ll just wait for serialization.

I went to the hospital today with my medical checkup report. The doctor said all my problems are caused by being overweight. If I don’t lose weight, it won’t be something I can solve just by changing my lifestyle. Besides diet, I need to pay attention to my sleep schedule, ideally not staying up past 11:30 pm…

I’m still young and quite afraid of death, so I’ve decided to update during the day from tomorrow onwards. I can’t keep burning the midnight oil like this anymore.

Getting back to the point, first, I want to thank my editor, Lu Ming. *Yu-Gi-Oh!* is still a niche genre, and *5Ds* is even smaller within that niche. Even so, he still believed in me and gave me the chance to publish this book. This book being able to reach you all is truly inseparable from Lu Ming’s great support!!

At the same time, I want to thank all the reader brothers who have supported this book and offered valuable suggestions. Thank you for your readership, tips, and votes. I read every comment, but considering the exposure problem for new books, I deleted some comments that raised questions after I solved the problems. However, now that the book is going on sale, these issues won’t be a concern, so feel free to say anything from now on!

Speaking of the book itself, *5Ds* is actually quite different from *GX* and *DM*, especially in its worldview and story style.

When writing the outline for this book, I designed it according to the original *5Ds* plot. I thought that since everyone could accept some of the plots in the original, my version wouldn’t be considered a weak point.

But in reality, it seems not to be the case. Many plots felt quite unpleasant and frustrating to readers. Considering everyone’s feelings, this book underwent many revisions and adjustments during its initial release period. Many plots and conflicts had to be removed, which led to the current plot lacking a lot of pressure and driving force. The protagonist now seems to be going to the city just for the sake of going to the city…

After some thought, the reason for this problem should be my misjudgment of the plot style. But there’s nothing I can do about it. After all, this is my first time writing a *5Ds* story, and there aren’t many works I can refer to. I’m actually quite satisfied to have achieved this much by feeling my way forward.

As of now, the book probably has 500 or 600 readers? I expect the initial subscription to be at most 200 or 300.

This result is definitely not comparable to my old book, but I will keep writing bit by bit. Don’t worry about me abandoning the story or anything. I might be lazy for a few days when I’m not feeling well, but I will definitely finish the book.

Emmmmm…

Anything else to say… I can’t think of anything right now.

When I decided to serialize a few days ago, I thought I would have a lot to say in the serialization author’s note, because the creation of this book was quite difficult for me. But now my state is a bit strange. Besides expressing gratitude, I suddenly don’t know what else to say.

Therefore, I won’t waste any more words. I’d rather spend this time writing a couple more chapters.
